Proton e.MAS has reached a major milestone in its electric vehicle journey, with PRO-NET celebrating the delivery of its 40,000th Proton e.MAS vehicle just 20 months after the brand was introduced. The milestone marks more than simply another sales figure for Proton’s EV arm. It represents 40,000 customers who have made the switch to electrified mobility, whether as their first EV, a family vehicle or an addition to their daily commute.
To mark the occasion, PRO-NET is rolling out a series of enhanced ownership benefits covering charging, aftersales, trade-ins, insurance, rewards and digital services under its ongoing Customer Promise. One of the headline offers is a 40% discount on charging, available from 11.00am on 1 October until 11.00am on 5 October 2026 through the Proton e.MAS app. Owners do not need to register or redeem any voucher, as the discount will be applied when they charge through the app during the campaign period.
PRO-NET is also looking beyond the four-day celebration by expanding charging benefits for e.MAS owners. The app provides access to 12 Charge Point Operators (CPOs), while charging prices are aligned with participating CPOs’ own apps. Owners can also enjoy preferential charging rates of up to RM1.20 per kWh at DC Handal chargers, while a 20% discount at RExharge charging points will be available through the Proton e.MAS app from 5 October to 31 December 2026.
According to PRO-NET CEO Mr. Zhang Qiang, reaching 40,000 vehicles is also a reminder of the responsibility that comes with building a growing EV community. “Reaching 40,000 Proton e.MAS vehicles is an important milestone because every vehicle represents a customer who has chosen to be part of our journey,” said Zhang. He added that the company wants to make EV ownership easier, more convenient and more rewarding as the community continues to expand.
That support will also come through a growing physical network. Proton e.MAS currently has 60 dealers nationwide, supported by more than 1,600 trained sales and aftersales personnel. PRO-NET is targeting 70 outlets by the end of 2026, including 57 service centres and 14 Body & Paint centres, giving owners greater access to sales, maintenance and aftersales support.
The 40,000-unit celebration also brings additional savings for owners when it comes to servicing and maintenance. From 1 to 31 October 2026, Proton e.MAS customers will receive 10% off service and maintenance, while the first 1,000 customers who send their vehicles for service during the campaign will receive an exclusive Proton e.MAS 5 Touch ‘n Go card.
For owners considering an upgrade, eligible customers can receive up to RM1,000 in additional trade-in rebates through CARSOME, available from 1 October to 31 December 2026. PRO-NET is also offering additional charging support through its e.MAS Care insurance programme. Customers who purchase or renew an eligible e.MAS Care Elite or e.MAS Care Flex policy through selected panels can receive RM100 in complimentary charging credits, with the offer limited to the first 5,000 eligible registrations.
Eligible customers who purchase or renew their e.MAS insurance during the same period will also be automatically entered into a lucky draw, with prizes including the Huawei Watch GT 7 and Huawei Band 11. The company says its aftersales preparations will continue alongside the expansion of the network, with 98.8% parts availability and ongoing efforts to develop certified EV technicians in collaboration with MARA.
The e.MAS ownership experience is also becoming more digital with the introduction of PassGo, a drive-to-earn rewards platform integrated into the Proton e.MAS app. From 29 September, owners who link their vehicles to the platform will receive 300 welcome points, followed by one point for every eligible kilometre driven, subject to the programme’s terms and conditions.
Those points can be exchanged for rewards including vouchers from Grab, Touch ‘n Go, foodpanda and Lazada, as well as exclusive merchandise. Owners will also have opportunities to collect additional points through special campaigns and challenges. PRO-NET is working with ACOTech on a refreshed Proton e.MAS app, which is scheduled to be introduced by the end of 2026. The updated platform is intended to bring rewards, services and ownership privileges together in a single digital experience.
The benefits are not limited to the car itself either. Eligible Proton e.MAS owners can enjoy 10% off beverages at participating ZUS Coffee outlets, while customers adopting eligible residential solar solutions through Huawei FusionSolar can receive an instant RM5,000 rebate.
There is also a chance to win a fully sponsored five-day, four-night trip to Shenzhen, China, including a visit to the Huawei Campus. And for owners who want to share where their e.MAS has taken them, PRO-NET is running the “Where Does Your e.MAS Take You?” contest. Owners can submit a photo or video featuring their Proton e.MAS and their story through the Proton e.MAS Official Community Facebook Group. Prizes include a limited-edition Proton e.MAS 7 diecast model as the grand prize, along with 40 Touch ‘n Go eWallet vouchers worth RM50 each.
