Leapmotor has continued its remarkable global growth, delivering a record 103,129 vehicles in August 2026 and surpassing the 100,000-unit monthly milestone for the second consecutive month. The August performance also marked the fifth consecutive month in which the Chinese new-energy vehicle (NEV) maker achieved a new delivery record. Deliveries rose 80.72% year-on-year, placing Leapmotor among the Top 4 global passenger NEV brands and Top 3 Chinese brands for the month.

The latest result builds on a significant milestone achieved in July, when Leapmotor became the first Chinese NEV start-up to record more than 100,000 deliveries in a single month. Maintaining that momentum into August highlights the company’s rapidly expanding presence and increasing customer acceptance in both its domestic and international markets.

Leapmotor’s momentum has also been reflected in its year-to-date performance. Between January and August 2026, the company delivered 560,883 vehicles, representing a 70.55% increase compared with the same period last year. This performance further reinforces Leapmotor’s position as China’s leading NEV start-up, with sustained demand across its expanding model range supporting its rapid growth.

Since vehicle sales began in 2020, Leapmotor’s cumulative deliveries have now reached 1,759,320 units. The company passed the 1.5-million-unit milestone earlier this year and has subsequently added more than 250,000 vehicles to its global customer base within just a few months. The pace of growth points to rising demand for Leapmotor’s electric vehicles while highlighting the company’s increasing ability to compete across both domestic and international markets.

Behind the sales expansion is Leapmotor’s strategy of combining full-domain independent research and development with extensive in-house manufacturing capabilities. The company says this approach allows it to accelerate the introduction of advanced technologies across its vehicle portfolio while turning engineering development into commercially viable products. The next major showcase for these capabilities will come at Leapmotor’s 2026 Annual Technology Conference on September 16.

At the event, the company is expected to present a new generation of world-model-based assisted driving technology, alongside its latest developments in battery technology, electric motors and electric-control systems. These developments underline Leapmotor’s strategy of using technological advancement as a key driver of its commercial expansion. With monthly deliveries now consistently exceeding 100,000 units, the company is rapidly establishing itself as one of the world’s fastest-growing NEV manufacturers.
