JETOUR Malaysia has expanded its SUV line-up with the launch of the new JETOUR T2 i-DM, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that combines electrified performance with the rugged styling and versatility of the T2. Priced at RM162,800, the JETOUR T2 i-DM pairs a 1.5-litre TGDi dedicated hybrid engine with a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and dual electric motors. The system produces a combined output of up to 265kW and 610Nm, while offering a claimed combined driving range of up to 1,200km and more than 100km of pure electric driving.

The Malaysian launch marks another step in JETOUR’s expansion of its local product portfolio and reinforces the brand’s “Travel+” philosophy, which focuses on giving drivers greater freedom to travel, explore and experience more. “Malaysia is a key market in JETOUR’s global strategy. As lifestyles evolve, we see growing interest in vehicles that can adapt seamlessly between everyday needs and the desire to explore further,” said Mr Ke Chuandeng, President of JETOUR International.

At the heart of the T2 i-DM is JETOUR’s Intelligent Dual-Mode (i-DM) hybrid system, which is designed to automatically balance electric and hybrid propulsion according to different driving conditions. The system offers five operating scenarios. EV Drive is intended for residential areas and low-speed driving, while Series Hybrid is suited to urban traffic. Dual Power Boost provides additional performance for overtaking and hill climbs, while Parallel Hybrid is designed for highway cruising. Regenerative Braking recovers energy during braking and downhill driving.

Energy is supplied by an 18.4kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. The battery features IP68 water and dust protection, a high-strength casing with underbody protection, high-temperature resistance and rapid high-voltage power cut-off. The T2 i-DM also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality with up to 3.3kW of output, allowing compatible external electrical equipment to be powered from the vehicle.

Charging options include 57kW DC fast charging, which can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% state of charge in 27 minutes or less. Using a 6.6kW AC wallbox, charging from 30% to 100% takes three hours or less, while a 2.2kW portable AC charger can complete the same charge in six hours or less. Actual charging times can vary depending on the charging equipment and operating conditions.

While the T2 i-DM introduces electrification, JETOUR has retained the model’s distinctive adventure-oriented character. Exterior equipment includes Auto LED Headlamps with JETOUR Signature Wordlight, 20-inch Trailblazer Alloy Wheels, Door Mirrors Reversing Mode and a rear-mounted spare tyre. The model also features an electric suction back door for added convenience.

Inside, the cabin combines technology with comfort, centred around a 15.6-inch multimedia display with a dedicated hybrid interface. A Sony 12-speaker premium audio system and 50W wireless charger further enhance the cabin’s technology offering. Other comfort features include front memory seats with Welcome Function, ventilated front seats, an illuminated crystal gear knob, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and Cosmic Multicolour Ambient Lighting.

The JETOUR T2 i-DM comes with a Level 2 Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS), incorporating features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Assist Intervention (LAI), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Intelligent High Beam (IHB). Passive and active safety equipment includes a high-strength steel body structure, six SRS airbags, a panoramic view monitoring system and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

JETOUR Malaysia is also offering an Early Bird Package worth up to RM3,000 for the first 2,000 registered T2 i-DM units. Customers can choose between a complimentary 7kW AC wallbox charger with installation or RM2,000 in ChargeSini charging credit. A complimentary V2L adapter cable is also included, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. Financing packages are available with interest rates from as low as 1.68%, subject to terms and conditions.

The T2 i-DM comes with a seven-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, while its high-voltage battery is covered for eight years or 160,000km. The engine receives a 10-year or 1,000,000km warranty, and owners also receive five complimentary service sessions, whichever comes first.

JETOUR Malaysia is further extending its ownership support through the JETOUR Insurance Programme. This includes coverage of up to RM5,000 for a 7kW AC wallbox charger and third-party personal liability coverage of up to RM50,000 for bodily injury, death or property damage arising from the use or operation of the EV charger. Special Perils Coverage will also be offered as part of the launch campaign to the first 2,000 registered T2 i-DM owners or until 28 February 2027, whichever comes first.
