JETOUR is expanding the meaning of travel beyond discovering new destinations, placing greater emphasis on environmental responsibility and wildlife conservation as part of its growing “Travel+” ecosystem. The automotive brand is bringing together travel, off-road exploration and nature conservation through initiatives designed to encourage travellers to appreciate the natural world while helping protect the ecosystems that make these adventures possible. As part of the 2026 JETOUR Global Technology Experience Day, held on 22 October, international guests visited Xiazhu Lake National Wetland Park in Deqing, Zhejiang Province, China, to participate in a crested ibis conservation programme.

The initiative offered participants a hands-on experience in wetland protection, with activities including observing crested ibises, preparing and installing nesting facilities, and releasing fish fry to support the wetland ecosystem. Beyond raising awareness of the species and its habitat, the programme demonstrated how travel-related activities can provide opportunities for people to engage directly with environmental conservation.

JETOUR believes that the ability to explore remote destinations comes with a responsibility to protect them. While off-road vehicles open up access to diverse landscapes, preserving the natural environments surrounding these journeys remains an important part of the brand’s travel philosophy. This approach has seen JETOUR extend its conservation activities across several regions, working with specialist organisations and local partners to support wildlife protection.

In Africa, the brand partnered with Discovery Channel and the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) on the Return of the Cheetah campaign. The initiative sought to increase public awareness of cheetah conservation through a documentary series that received Telly Awards. In Malaysia, JETOUR is working with TCS and PULIHARA on turtle conservation, while its efforts in Pakistan include a markhor protection programme. In South America, the brand is also involved in a conservation project focused on the harpy eagle.

Although each programme addresses different environmental challenges, they share a common objective: supporting wildlife protection while encouraging greater public understanding of the importance of biodiversity. By collaborating with organisations that possess relevant conservation expertise, JETOUR is seeking to develop a more sustained approach to environmental responsibility. These partnerships also reflect its ambition to make “Travel + Public Welfare” a continuing part of its global activities rather than a collection of isolated campaigns.

Conservation forms part of JETOUR’s broader “Travel+” strategy, which aims to connect vehicle ownership with experiences that extend beyond driving. The brand has expanded into more than 100 countries and regions, supported by over 300 JETOUR CLUB communities and a global following of more than 50 million fans. Through self-driving trips, off-road adventures and conservation activities, JETOUR is creating opportunities for owners and enthusiasts to connect with one another while participating in experiences that reflect their shared interest in travel and the outdoors.

This strategy also gives the brand an opportunity to engage with customers beyond the traditional vehicle ownership journey, building communities around exploration, shared experiences and a greater appreciation of the natural environment. The inclusion of conservation activities adds another dimension to this approach. Rather than treating nature simply as a destination to visit, JETOUR is encouraging travellers to consider how their actions can contribute to protecting the places they explore.

As interest in outdoor adventures and off-road travel continues to shape the automotive experience, JETOUR is positioning environmental stewardship as an important part of its global brand identity. Its initiatives across China, Africa, Malaysia, Pakistan and South America demonstrate how a common commitment to conservation can be applied to different ecosystems and wildlife challenges.

The broader message behind “Travel+” is straightforward: exploration creates opportunities to discover the world, capable vehicles help travellers reach new destinations, and conservation helps ensure those environments remain protected for future generations. JETOUR says it will continue working with users and partners around the world to incorporate conservation into more travel experiences, reinforcing its ambition to make journeys meaningful not only for those who undertake them, but also for the natural environments they encounter.
