Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad (EON) has opened its first Body & Paint Hub in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, expanding its aftersales capabilities with a dedicated facility for accident repairs, body restoration and paint refinishing across its multi-brand automotive portfolio. Spanning 41,508 square feet, the facility is among the largest of its kind in Malaysia. It features 39 service bays, three paint mixing rooms and four spray booths, supported by modern repair technology and trained personnel to carry out vehicle restoration work.

The hub currently serves customers of Proton, Mitsubishi, Audi and smart electric vehicles, with Proton e.MAS expected to join the portfolio in the near future. By consolidating its body and paint services under one facility, EON aims to provide a more convenient and consistent aftersales experience for motorists across the brands it represents. The centre is designed to handle a range of vehicle repair requirements, including accident damage, bodywork restoration and paint refinishing.

Its operations follow EON’s established procedures and processes, with an emphasis on repair quality, vehicle safety and maintaining the original appearance of customers’ vehicles. EON Chief Executive Officer Akkbar Danial said the company’s responsibility to customers extends beyond the initial vehicle purchase, with aftersales support playing an important role in building long-term relationships. He added that the new facility would help the company deliver greater value throughout the ownership journey, while maintaining its commitment to quality and comprehensive aftersales service.

Another key feature is the hub’s acceptance of accident repair claims from all insurance companies in Malaysia. This allows customers to access its repair services regardless of their insurer, offering greater flexibility when arranging vehicle repairs following an accident. The opening also forms part of EON’s broader transformation into a more customer-focused mobility partner. Rather than concentrating solely on vehicle sales, the company is seeking to strengthen the services available to customers throughout their ownership experience.

EON is already exploring opportunities to expand its Body & Paint Hub network, with further developments being considered for the future. Any expansion will focus on strategic locations where the company has an established multi-brand presence, allowing it to build on its existing operations and improve access to repair services.
