One of the interesting aspects of Setel Savers is that users do not necessarily need to use every service available. For motorists, the benefits could come from the more obvious parts of the ecosystem, such as fuel, parking, car servicing, EV charging and Kedai Mesra purchases.

For those who use Setel throughout the day, the experience can stretch much further. A morning fuel stop could be followed by parking at work, a DuitNow QR payment over lunch and a shopping trip on the way home, before settling a bill in the evening. Families can also make use of Setel Family Wallet, allowing an account owner to manage and share funds with family members for their Setel spending while continuing to earn rewards from eligible transactions.

Even students and non-drivers can find ways to use the ecosystem. DuitNow QR payments, bills, Kedai Mesra purchases and other everyday transactions mean Setel Savers is not exclusively tied to owning or driving a car. For EV owners, eligible charging transactions provide another opportunity to earn rewards as Malaysia’s mobility landscape continues to change.

A fuel-up here, parking there, a quick QR payment or a purchase at Kedai Mesra might not seem particularly significant on its own. But when these transactions are repeated throughout the month, they become part of everyday spending.

Setel Savers is designed to turn some of those eligible transactions into additional value. Members can earn bonus Mesra Rewards points through eligible fuel milestones, DuitNow QR payments, selected non-fuel spending, Kedai Mesra purchases and EV charging. And there is another useful part of the rewards ecosystem: Mesra Rewards points can be converted into Setel Credit, allowing rewards earned from one transaction to be used towards another Setel transaction in the future.

Following the trial, the membership is priced at RM4.90 per month.
