Bermaz XPENG Sdn Bhd has announced a significant milestone for the brand in Malaysia with the introduction of locally assembled (CKD) units of the XPENG G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV. The move marks the next stage of XPENG’s expansion in the country, with bookings now open for three variants – Standard Range, Long Range, and AWD Performance.

The locally assembled G6 will continue to offer the same blend of advanced technology, intelligent driving capabilities, and efficient electric performance that has helped establish the model as one of XPENG’s key offerings globally. Built on the company’s advanced SEPA 2.0 platform, the G6 combines modern EV architecture with high-performance charging and smart mobility features designed to suit everyday driving needs.

One of the standout features retained in the CKD version is its 800V ultra-fast charging system, which allows the battery to be replenished from 10 to 80 percent in just 12 minutes under optimal conditions. This capability is paired with efficient energy management, helping to deliver convenience and practicality for Malaysian motorists.

Across the range, the G6 comes equipped with XPILOT Assist, XPENG’s intelligent driver assistance suite. The system includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Control, and Autonomous Parking Assist. Enhanced processing power enables smoother and more natural responses, contributing to a safer and more confident driving experience.

According to Dato’ Sri Francis Lee, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bermaz Auto Berhad, the localisation of the G6 aligns with Malaysia’s ambitions to strengthen its electric vehicle ecosystem and develop domestic EV manufacturing capabilities. He noted that local assembly allows the company to offer a technologically advanced EV while adding value through domestic production, without increasing prices for customers.

Production of the G6 is being carried out at EP Manufacturing Berhad’s facility in Melaka. Despite the transition to local assembly, pricing remains unchanged. The XPENG G6 Standard Range is priced from RM158,888, while the Long Range variant starts at RM178,888. The flagship AWD Performance model is available from RM189,888.

To further enhance ownership value, XPENG is offering a limited-time package that includes a complimentary wallbox charger worth RM5,000 as well as insurance support of up to RM5,000.

Customer deliveries of the locally assembled XPENG G6 are scheduled to begin in August 2026, with bookings now accepted through authorised Bermaz XPENG dealerships nationwide.
