Malaysia’s premier kustom and counter-culture festival, Art of Speed (AOS), is gearing up for its most ambitious edition yet as it celebrates its 15th anniversary at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) on August 1 and 2, 2026.

Held under the theme “Summer Festival – Kustom Bergaya”, Art of Speed 2026 promises a larger-than-ever showcase of custom vehicles, international collaborations, live music, lifestyle attractions and community gatherings. Occupying more than 452,000 square feet of indoor exhibition space alongside 320 acres of outdoor grounds, the event is expected to draw thousands of enthusiasts from Malaysia and across the region.

One of the biggest highlights this year is the participation of renowned figures from the international custom scene. Visitors can look forward to meeting representatives from iconic names such as MOONEYES, Liberty Walk, Hawgholic, Vise Clothing, DicE Magazine, Hot Wheels, Boo Pinstriping and Jetwrench ArtStudio.

The festival will also welcome custom culture communities and organisers from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Brunei, Taiwan and the United States, reinforcing Art of Speed’s reputation as one of Southeast Asia’s leading kustom culture gatherings.

Making their first-ever appearance at the festival are Liberty Walk founder Wataru Kato and several internationally acclaimed custom builders, further strengthening the event’s global appeal.

AOS 2026 will feature an impressive collection of custom motorcycles and cars from around the world. Among the headline exhibits are a customised 1945 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead from Hawgholic and a 1966 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead from Vise Clothing, both arriving from Japan.

The event will also host special custom car exhibitions from Thailand and Taiwan, alongside a curated showcase connected to Liberty Walk’s participation.

Music fans can also look forward to a tribute to three decades of Asian hardcore music, making SoundCircus one of the most diverse music gatherings in the country.

A major attraction for motorcycle enthusiasts is the return of the prestigious AOS Invitational Build-Off, where eight elite Malaysian custom builders will compete for top honours and the opportunity to showcase their creation at the 34th Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show in Japan.

Participating builders include Chaos Custom, Valley Machines, Rocketeer Custom Art, Bad Soul Cycle Custom, Mujo Joros, AR Choppers, Fazben Custom and Sedarah MC.

Beyond automotive culture, attendees can explore new attractions including the Kids Recreation Zone, cycling-focused activities under the “KL Orbits” banner, scooter and car club gatherings, fashion showcases and street culture exhibitions.

Collectors will have plenty to look forward to as the Hot Wheels Collectors Convention Malaysia returns for its fourth edition.

A special highlight is the launch of an exclusive Hot Wheels Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (BNR34), featuring individual serial numbers and official Nissan licensing. The convention will also host exhibitions, competitions, swap meets and collector sessions.

Fans will additionally have the chance to meet Ronald Wong, Lead Product Designer for Hot Wheels Premium, whose portfolio includes several highly sought-after collector models.

Several event-exclusive diecast releases will make their debut at AOS 2026, including collaborations involving Kyosho and MOONEYES, Tarmac Works and RWB, as well as Mini GT and Liberty Walk.

Meanwhile, Hall A’s Show & Shine section will showcase custom choppers, modified pickup trucks and international builds from Thailand. The best custom car and motorcycle entries will earn a trip to the Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show later this year.

Visitors can also experience a variety of interactive attractions throughout the festival. These include an automotive flea market, collectible memorabilia zone, test ride sessions from leading motorcycle brands and a first-of-its-kind Flying Fox experience that sends participants soaring above a live concert audience.

The annual “Kustom & Koffee Talk” forum will return as well, featuring industry discussions hosted by automotive journalist Daniel Sherman Fernandez alongside international panellists.

The popular AOS Kembara Passport activity is making a comeback, offering visitors the chance to win prizes worth RM80,000 by completing challenges across sponsor and exhibitor booths.

Three grand prize winners will walk away with a custom motorcycle from Thunder Motorcycles, a specially modified Honda HR-V by Qartel TV, and a Vespa S 125 respectively.

Reflecting on the festival’s 15-year journey, Art of Speed Malaysia Festival Director Asep Ahmad Iskandar described the 2026 edition as the realisation of a long-standing vision to create a world-class event that seamlessly combines automotive culture, lifestyle experiences and live entertainment.

He also highlighted the significance of welcoming Liberty Walk and legendary Japanese builders Yoshiki Okubo and Yokomizo Gaku, describing their participation as a major milestone for the region’s custom culture scene.

With its largest international presence, expanded entertainment offerings and a packed schedule of activities, Art of Speed 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest celebrations of kustom culture ever held in Malaysia.
