Proton is marking East Malaysia Day with the introduction of its 2026 East Malaysia Day Campaign, a month-long aftersales initiative designed to promote safer driving while rewarding customers across Sabah and Sarawak for their continued loyalty.

Running from 8 July to 7 August 2026, the campaign is available at all Proton Authorised Service Centres in East Malaysia, including 2S outlets. Owners of all Proton models, including the PIES, X Series and S Series line-ups, are eligible to participate.

The campaign underscores Proton’s commitment to enhancing the ownership experience through quality aftersales support and accessible vehicle maintenance services. Customers in East Malaysia are currently supported by a network of 30 authorised service centres, with 12 outlets located in Sabah and 18 in Sarawak, ensuring convenient access to professional servicing and repairs.

As part of the initiative, customers who visit participating service centres will receive a complimentary 40-point Safety Inspection. Conducted by Proton-trained technicians, the inspection covers critical vehicle components such as braking systems, tyres, batteries, suspension systems and fluid levels. The objective is to help owners ensure their vehicles remain in optimal condition, whether for daily commuting or long-distance travel.

In addition to the free inspection, customers who purchase a genuine Proton wiper set during the campaign period will receive an exclusive Proton neck pillow, while stocks last. The giveaway serves as a gesture of appreciation for customers who choose genuine Proton parts for their vehicles.

According to Dato’ Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa, Chief Executive Officer of Proton Edar Sdn Bhd, East Malaysia continues to play an important role in the company’s growth strategy. He noted that the increasing number of Proton owners in Sabah and Sarawak reflects the confidence customers have in the brand’s products and services.

He added that the campaign is intended not only to thank customers for their support but also to encourage regular vehicle maintenance, which is essential for road safety. Proton’s authorised service centres are staffed by trained technicians and equipped with genuine parts, ensuring vehicles receive professional care that meets the company’s quality standards.

The automaker continues to strengthen its aftersales network and introduce customer-focused programmes to support its expanding ownership base in East Malaysia. By encouraging the use of authorised service centres and genuine Proton parts, the company aims to help customers maintain vehicle performance, preserve warranty coverage and enjoy greater peace of mind on the road.
