At its debut showcase at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026, Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia demonstrated strong momentum in Malaysia’s electric vehicle market, unveiling new luxury models and reinforcing its ambition to build a fully integrated premium mobility ecosystem. Under the theme “Beyond Mobility. Defined by Excellence.”, the brand highlighted its commitment to delivering intelligent, customer-focused electric mobility experiences.
Since its Malaysian launch in December 2024, Zeekr has recorded over 4,000 cumulative vehicle registrations as of May 2026, positioning itself as the No.1 Premium EV Brand in the country. This rapid growth reflects strong consumer confidence and signals Zeekr’s rising influence in Malaysia’s evolving EV landscape.
Speaking at the event, Zeekr Malaysia’s leadership emphasized that the brand’s success is driven by customer trust and a focus on holistic ownership experiences that go beyond vehicle performance. The company continues to strengthen its service offerings, convenience features, and after-sales support as part of its long-term strategy in the region.
A key highlight at KLIMS 2026 was the introduction of two new models that represent the pinnacle of Zeekr’s luxury and innovation direction: the Zeekr 009 Grand and the Zeekr 9X.
The Zeekr 009 Grand is a four-seat ultra-luxury MPV designed around an executive rear-cabin experience. It features advanced comfort technologies such as multi-point massage seating, a large MiniLED entertainment display, and a premium multi-speaker surround system. The interior is crafted with high-end materials, including natural stone-inspired trims and crystal-inspired controls, while privacy-focused innovations such as smart partition glass and secure storage systems enhance exclusivity. Its exterior design is equally bold, featuring striking black-accent styling and aerodynamic forged wheels.
Meanwhile, the Zeekr 9X represents the brand’s next-generation luxury SUV philosophy, built on an advanced 900V architecture and a high-performance hybrid system delivering over 1,000 kW of power. Capable of accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just over three seconds, it also offers long driving range and ultra-fast charging capabilities. Beyond performance, the 9X integrates intelligent chassis systems for adaptive ride comfort, enhanced stability, and terrain responsiveness.
Safety and intelligence remain central to the 9X, with advanced protection systems designed to manage crosswinds, impacts, and obstacle avoidance scenarios. Inside, the SUV delivers a spacious three-row cabin equipped with high-resolution displays and a premium audio system, reinforcing its position as a technology-driven luxury flagship.
Beyond vehicle launches, Zeekr Malaysia also outlined its aggressive expansion plans. The brand currently operates eight retail outlets across key Malaysian regions including Klang Valley, Penang, Johor, Melaka, and Ipoh, with a target of expanding to 18 outlets nationwide by the end of 2026. This expansion will include entry into East Malaysia, strengthening nationwide accessibility.
Service infrastructure is also set to grow, with plans for 12 service centres supported by improved parts availability and enhanced after-sales capabilities.
A major pillar of this ecosystem is the introduction of Zeekr Power, a dedicated charging network developed with strategic partners. The first flagship charging station will be located at XPark Sunway Serene, offering ultra-fast DC charging of up to 480 kW. In collaboration with DC Handal, Zeekr is also rolling out additional high-capacity charging hubs along major highways and urban centres, with a long-term goal of establishing 20 charging stations nationwide.
With competitive pricing for its new models—starting from RM600,000 for the Zeekr 009 Grand and RM800,000 for the Zeekr 9X—Zeekr Malaysia is positioning itself firmly in the premium electric vehicle segment.
Its presence at KLIMS 2026 underscores a broader vision: to build not just advanced electric vehicles, but a complete ecosystem that integrates product innovation, charging infrastructure, and premium ownership services.
As Zeekr continues to expand in Malaysia, its strategy reflects a clear ambition to redefine luxury mobility through intelligence, performance, and seamless user experience.
