Tesla Malaysia is giving the public its first opportunity to see the Cybercab up close, with the company’s driverless two-seater making its Malaysian debut through a nationwide roadshow running from 29 October to 22 November 2026. The limited-time tour will cover four locations across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Penang, allowing visitors to explore Tesla’s vision of autonomous mobility and learn more about the technology behind its proposed Robotaxi service.
Unlike conventional vehicles, the Cybercab has been designed without a steering wheel, pedals or side mirrors. Instead, it is developed around the concept of a fully autonomous vehicle, with its cabin intended to function as a ‘mobile living room’ where passengers can focus on their journey rather than driving.
According to Tesla, the Cybercab incorporates technology developed through its existing vehicle platforms, including the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L. This includes connectivity between the vehicle and Tesla app, Full Self-Driving hardware and capabilities, personalised driver and passenger profiles, as well as over-the-air (OTA) software updates. The company says these features form part of its approach to developing a connected and software-driven vehicle experience, although the Cybercab’s driverless concept represents a different direction from its current passenger car line-up.
The Malaysian tour will feature guided walkthrough sessions held every hour at each venue. Tesla specialists will introduce visitors to the vehicle’s exterior design, interior layout and underlying technology. Those interested in attending can register for a session through Tesla Malaysia’s official event page. However, places are limited, and early registration is encouraged.

Alongside the Cybercab showcase, Tesla Malaysia highlighted the continued expansion of its charging infrastructure across the country. The company currently operates 21 Supercharger locations with a total of 92 Superchargers, alongside 18 Destination Charging locations equipped with 78 Wall Connectors.
A further six charging locations are scheduled to open by the end of 2026, covering Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Seremban and Penang. Tesla also stated that it has helped more than 13,000 Malaysian households establish home charging facilities, providing owners with another option for charging their vehicles.
The growing network is also intended to support cross-border travel, particularly along routes connecting Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Tesla says its charging infrastructure provides access to high-speed charging along key regional routes, catering to both leisure and business travel. In addition, the company offers cross-border warranty coverage, service access and connectivity support, which are intended to make travelling between the three countries more convenient for Tesla owners.
While the Cybercab is the main attraction of the tour, Tesla is also using the occasion to promote its current vehicle range, with selected financing and trade-in incentives available for the Model 3 and Model Y.
The available offers include:
- Model 3: Fixed interest rates starting from 0% or a trade-in rebate of up to RM10,000.
- Model Y: Fixed interest rates starting from 0% or a trade-in rebate of RM15,000.
The Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L are also eligible for Tesla’s Refer and Earn programme. Under the scheme, existing owners can share their personal referral links with prospective buyers. Once a qualifying purchase is completed, the referring owner receives RM500 in Tesla Credits, while the new customer receives RM1,000 off their Tesla purchase. The credits can be redeemed for selected rewards, including Supercharging credits and software upgrades.
Tesla also highlighted that the camera-based technology and OTA software update capabilities featured in the Cybercab are already incorporated into its current Malaysian vehicle range. Visitors can therefore experience some of the company’s existing vision-based technology by arranging a test drive during the tour.
