PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI) has entered into a strategic partnership with UM Motorcycles to enhance motorcycle performance, engine reliability and the overall ownership experience across selected markets worldwide. The collaboration will see PLI supply its PETRONAS Sprinta motorcycle lubricant range to UM Motorcycles’ distributors and aftersales dealer network across Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa and Latin America. The partnership will initially focus on selected products designed to support engine protection, consistent performance and long-term reliability.

At the centre of the collaboration is PETRONAS Sprinta’s UltraFlex™ technology, which is engineered to provide protection and responsive performance across a motorcycle’s engine, clutch and gearbox. The technology is designed to support smooth operation in a variety of riding conditions, from cold starts and congested stop-start traffic to longer journeys on open roads.

By combining lubricant technology with UM Motorcycles’ international distribution network, both companies aim to improve aftersales support and deliver greater value to motorcycle owners. The partnership also provides an opportunity for participating distributors and dealers to strengthen customer engagement through access to PLI’s experience in developing performance lubricants.

Beyond product supply, PLI will support UM Motorcycles’ dealer network through technical training, dealer development initiatives and coordinated marketing activities. These efforts are intended to strengthen product knowledge, improve service standards and provide customers with more consistent aftersales support across participating markets.

The rollout of PETRONAS Sprinta lubricants will take place progressively through UM Motorcycles’ distributors and dealer networks. The first batch of products is scheduled to arrive at participating outlets in October 2026, beginning in Asia before expanding into Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), followed by the Americas. The partnership establishes a foundation for further collaboration between the two companies, combining PLI’s lubricant expertise with UM Motorcycles’ global reach to support motorcycle performance, maintenance and customer service across multiple regions.
