Tesla has expanded its presence in Malaysia with the opening of its latest Experience Centre at Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur, marking the brand’s seventh experience location in the country. Located at G-001 & G[E]-011, immediately beside the link connecting Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall, the new facility gives customers a more convenient place to view Tesla vehicles, explore their features, configure their preferred models and learn more about EV ownership.
The opening also complements Tesla’s charging infrastructure at The Gardens Mall, where four V4 Superchargers are located at Floor B1, Zone B. Together, the two facilities create a more connected experience, taking customers from vehicle discovery through to charging and ownership.
Visitors can experience Tesla’s current Malaysian line-up, comprising the Model 3, Model Y and the Model Y L. The Model 3 continues to be positioned as Malaysia’s best-selling electric sedan, while the Model Y is described as the world’s best-selling electric SUV. The newer Model Y L adds a six-seat configuration aimed at families seeking additional passenger capacity.
Tesla says the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L have achieved strong safety ratings from leading organisations around the world, including the NHTSA and IIHS in the United States, Euro NCAP in Europe, ANCAP in Australia and New Zealand, and C-IASI in China. The company also points to recent Malaysian sales performance as an indication of customer demand. In August 2026, the Model 3 was the best-selling electric sedan and imported-brand EV in Malaysia, while the Model Y was the best-selling imported-brand electric SUV.
Beyond its vehicles, Tesla continues to expand vehicle functionality through Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates, allowing new features and improvements to be delivered to owners remotely. Grok, Tesla’s personal AI assistant, is also standard across the Tesla range. It can assist with functions such as navigation, route planning, climate and ventilation controls, music playback, reminders, location searches and other vehicle functions.
“Tesla’s mission is to build a world of amazing abundance. We make electric vehicles more accessible by bringing Tesla technology closer to people’s lives and pairing them with charging that fits their lifestyles. Tesla will continue to invest in Malaysia to deliver a seamless ownership experience — through our direct business model, dedicated customer support, and an end-to-end journey across the region,” said Isabel Fan, Senior Director, Tesla.
The four V4 Superchargers at The Gardens Mall can deliver charging rates of up to 250 kW. According to Tesla, compatible Model 3 and Model Y vehicles can gain up to approximately 311 km of range in as little as 15 minutes. With pay-per-use pricing, Tesla positions its Supercharging network as a cost-efficient fast-charging option for EV owners.
Tesla currently operates 21 Supercharging stations with 92 Superchargers and 18 Destination Charging locations with 78 chargers across Malaysia. A further six charging stations are scheduled to come online by the end of 2026, covering locations in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Seremban and Penang. The growing network is also intended to support cross-country journeys between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, with Tesla highlighting charging access along key regional routes. The company also provides cross-border warranty coverage, service access and connectivity to support regional travel.
Tesla Malaysia is currently offering limited-time incentives for the Model 3 and Model Y. Customers can choose either a complimentary Wall Connector or 3,000 km of Supercharging credits, subject to terms and conditions.
Pricing starts from:
- Model 3: RM149,000, with monthly payments from RM1,148

Tesla’s Refer and Earn programme is also available for the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L. Existing owners can share their referral links with friends and family and earn Tesla rewards following qualifying purchases, with rewards redeemable for items such as Supercharging credits and software upgrades.
