eRacing GP is set to raise the bar for virtual motorsport competition with the inaugural 12 Hours of Spa, a premier endurance sim racing event that will bring together some of Asia’s top teams for a gruelling test of speed, strategy and teamwork at one of motorsport’s most legendary venues.

Scheduled to take place on 18 July at the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the endurance showdown will challenge competitors to complete 12 continuous hours of racing, demanding exceptional consistency, precise race management and flawless driver coordination as teams battle through one of the most demanding circuits in the world.

Known for its dramatic elevation changes and legendary corners such as Eau Rouge, Raidillon and Blanchimont, Spa-Francorchamps will provide the perfect stage for an endurance contest where preparation, adaptability and teamwork will be just as important as outright pace.

The one-off event has already attracted significant regional interest, with more than 30 teams from at least five countries across Asia confirmed to compete, making it one of the most anticipated events on the eRacing GP calendar.

The 12 Hours of Spa is proudly supported by Royal Selangor, the world-renowned Malaysian fine pewter brand, which shares eRacing GP’s commitment to precision, craftsmanship and excellence.

“Royal Selangor’s partnership with eRacing GP reflects the shared values between traditional craftsmanship and modern motorsport, where dedication, attention to detail and relentless pursuit of perfection define success,” said Hilda Razali, Head of Global Marketing, Royal Selangor International.

Beyond championship points and recognition, competitors will also battle for specially commissioned Royal Selangor trophies, created exclusively to celebrate victory in one of eRacing GP’s most prestigious endurance events.

The 12 Hours of Spa will feature three racing categories, providing a diverse grid filled with both professional and amateur competitors:

  • Hypercar (GTP) Class
  • LMP2 Class
  • GT3 Class

In the premier Hypercar category, teams will have the opportunity to compete with some of the world’s most advanced endurance racing machines, including the BMW M Hybrid V8, Cadillac V-Series.R GTP, Ferrari 499P and Porsche 963 GTP.

The LMP2 category will feature the Dallara P217, while GT3 competitors can select from six race-ready machines, including the BMW M4 GT3 EVO, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R, Ferrari 296 GT3, McLaren 720S GT3 EVO, Mercedes-AMG GT3 (2020) and Porsche 911 GT3 R (992).

With a wide range of cars available, teams will need to carefully consider their vehicle selection, race strategy and driver strengths to maximise their chances of success over the 12-hour marathon.

The event will feature some of the region’s most talented sim racers, with several high-profile names expected to compete for victory.

Singapore’s leading sim racer Aleef Hamilton will team up with Malaysia’s Alister Yoong, forming one of the notable driver line-ups on the grid. They will face strong competition from Apex Racing Brunei, the reigning Endurance Edition Champions, as they look to defend their reputation against Asia’s best.

Thailand’s OVERME.team will also enter the competition, featuring a trio led by prominent sim racer Thanprasit Sartsuk, while Malaysia’s Pepega Racing will field three teams, including former Toyota GAZOO Racing Rookies drivers Justin Rahul Dev and Genevieve Ooi.

Genevieve Ooi will also make history as the only female competitor on the grid, adding another dimension to an already competitive field.

According to Alex Yoong, Founder of eRacing GP, endurance racing represents the ultimate test of a competitor’s ability to work as a team while maintaining focus over long periods.

“Endurance racing represents the ultimate challenge in motorsport. Events like these are designed to reward not only outright pace, but also teamwork, preparation and resilience. It is an event that captures the essence of endurance competition while giving sim racers the opportunity to compete with some of the best in Asia,” he said.

The 12 Hours of Spa reflects eRacing GP’s ongoing mission to create world-class virtual motorsport experiences while strengthening the connection between sim racing and traditional motorsport. Through professionally organised competitions and internationally recognised events, eRacing GP continues to provide a platform for racers to compete at the highest level of digital motorsport.

The race will begin at 11.00am on 18 July and will be streamed live through eRacing GP’s official social media channels, allowing fans across the region to witness the endurance battle unfold.
