DENZA Malaysia has officially introduced the DENZA Z9GT to the Malaysian market, marking the Asia Pacific debut of the brand’s flagship luxury grand tourer. Priced from RM358,800, the Z9GT arrives as a showcase of advanced electric vehicle technology, combining breathtaking performance, intelligent driving capabilities and premium craftsmanship in a new interpretation of luxury mobility.

The exclusive unveiling ceremony was held against the stunning backdrop of the Kuala Lumpur skyline and the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, celebrating the arrival of DENZA’s latest model through a blend of automotive innovation and luxury artistry.

Guests were treated to a multi-sensory launch experience featuring a 16-piece string quartet, opera performance, ballerina showcase and dynamic demonstrations of the DENZA Z9GT’s advanced capabilities. Highlights included demonstrations of the model’s unique Compass Turn and Crab Walk functions, enabled by DENZA’s advanced e3 Platform. The evening concluded with a spectacular pyrotechnic display, symbolising the arrival of a new era of intelligent luxury mobility in Malaysia.

The launch event was attended by Mr Liu Xueliang, Vice President of BYD and General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, who highlighted BYD’s rapid global expansion, technological achievements and continued commitment towards advancing new energy vehicle solutions.

Mr Liu shared that BYD’s innovation efforts are supported by a global research and development team comprising more than 123,000 engineers, reinforcing the company’s dedication towards developing safer, smarter and more efficient mobility technologies.

Among BYD’s major milestones highlighted during the event were the production of its 17 millionth new energy vehicle and global sales exceeding 4.6 million new energy vehicles, demonstrating the company’s growing influence in the global electrification landscape.

Developed under DENZA’s philosophy of “Technology Drives Elegance”, the Z9GT combines advanced engineering, exhilarating performance and refined craftsmanship to deliver a new generation of electric luxury grand touring.

Built on BYD’s advanced e3 Platform and powered by the company’s Second Generation Blade Battery, the Z9GT represents one of DENZA’s most technologically advanced models to date. It is also among the first DENZA vehicles engineered to support BYD Flash Charging Technology, offering exceptional charging convenience alongside high-performance electric driving.

At the core of the DENZA Z9GT is its intelligent e3 Platform, which features a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system capable of producing up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and 1,210 Nm of torque.

With this immense power output, the Z9GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, while offering an electric driving range of up to 701 km (NEDC).

Beyond outright performance, the e3 Platform introduces a suite of intelligent technologies designed to enhance driving confidence and manoeuvrability. These include rear axle steering with up to 15 degrees of movement, a class-leading 4.62-metre turning radius, e3 Parking, Crab Mode, Pencil Compass Turn and Vehicle Motion Control (VMC).

These technologies allow the Z9GT to deliver exceptional agility, precision and control across a wide range of driving situations, from tight urban environments to high-speed touring.

Supporting the Z9GT’s performance capabilities is the BYD Second Generation Blade Battery, featuring a 122.49 kWh capacity and 1,000V high-voltage architecture.

The advanced battery system is designed to deliver improved efficiency, enhanced safety and greater charging convenience. Through BYD Flash Charging Technology, the Z9GT can charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes, while a 10% to 97% charge can be achieved in approximately nine minutes.

Compared to its predecessor, the latest Blade Battery offers around five percent higher energy density while retaining the safety characteristics that have made the Blade Battery family widely recognised.

Beyond its electric performance, the DENZA Z9GT features a sculpted exterior design and a premium interior crafted around modern luxury lifestyles.

The cabin combines high-quality materials with advanced technology, including a Devialet® 20-speaker audio system, intelligent connectivity supported by a high-performance processor with Google built-in, and a range of comfort-focused features designed to create a refined and immersive driving environment.

The Z9GT is available in two exterior colour options: Rime Gold and Obsidian Black.

The Rime Gold exterior can be paired with either a Dark Chocolate & Perg Beige interior or an all-Black interior featuring suede seats with yellow stitching.

Meanwhile, the Obsidian Black exterior is available with Dark Chocolate & Red Velvet, Dark Chocolate & Perg Beige, or an all-Black interior with suede seats and yellow stitching.
