Toyota is offering visitors a glimpse into its evolving vision for mobility at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, where the brand is presenting a comprehensive showcase that blends future concepts, electrified technologies and interactive experiences. Held from 12 to 21 June at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), the exhibition highlights Toyota’s commitment to developing mobility solutions that cater to the diverse needs of individuals and communities.
Presented by UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT), the showcase reflects Toyota’s belief that mobility should be designed around people, ensuring that innovation remains practical, accessible and relevant to everyday life. The exhibition also demonstrates how Toyota is balancing future aspirations with technologies already available to Malaysian consumers.
Central to the display is Toyota’s Multi-Pathway strategy, which offers multiple routes towards lower-emission mobility. Rather than focusing on a single technology, Toyota continues to expand its electrification efforts through Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) while progressively introducing Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), allowing customers to choose solutions that best match their lifestyles and readiness for change.
The pavilion itself draws inspiration from Japanese heritage while incorporating contemporary design elements, creating a setting that connects Toyota’s long-established values with its future mobility ambitions. This approach aligns with the company’s broader goals of delivering “Happiness For All” and achieving “Mobility for All,” where technological advancement serves to enhance accessibility, independence and convenience for people from all walks of life.
According to Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor, Toyota’s more than six decades of presence in Malaysia continue to shape the company’s approach to innovation. He emphasised that while future mobility concepts are exciting, they must also remain practical and meaningful for customers. The KLIMS 2026 showcase demonstrates how Toyota’s long-term vision remains closely linked to real-world solutions backed by the brand’s reputation for quality, durability and reliability.
A key highlight of the exhibition is the presentation of three concept vehicles, each representing a different perspective on future mobility.
The Corolla Concept explores how one of Toyota’s most recognisable nameplates can continue evolving to meet changing customer expectations. Building on the Corolla’s long-standing reputation for dependable transportation, the concept investigates new possibilities in design, packaging and propulsion technologies while maintaining its focus on accessibility and everyday usability.
Meanwhile, the IMV Origin shifts attention toward the role of mobility in supporting communities and economic activity. Designed with adaptability and practicality in mind, the concept reflects Toyota’s vision of vehicles that can contribute to local businesses, work environments and everyday resilience. Its straightforward and versatile design underscores the belief that future mobility solutions should be not only technologically advanced but also practical and easy to maintain.
Adding a more imaginative dimension to the showcase is the Toyota Kids mobi, a concept developed around mobility for younger users. Featuring intelligent and safe mobility solutions powered by artificial intelligence, the concept explores how future transportation could help children gain greater independence and confidence while ensuring their safety. It also reinforces Toyota’s commitment to creating mobility solutions that address the needs of all segments of society.
Collectively, these concepts illustrate Toyota’s broader philosophy that mobility extends beyond transportation alone. Instead, the company envisions solutions that are personal, inclusive and adaptable to different stages of life and societal needs.
Beyond future mobility concepts, visitors can also experience Toyota’s motorsport-inspired side through Toyota GAZOO Racing. The dedicated area features performance-oriented models, a GR driving simulation experience and exclusive merchandise, allowing enthusiasts to engage with the brand’s passion for driving enjoyment and vehicle development.
While embracing new technologies and mobility concepts, Toyota continues to emphasise the importance of its core principles of Quality, Durability and Reliability. These values remain fundamental as the company introduces electrified mobility solutions, ensuring customers receive the same level of trust and dependability that has defined the brand for generations.
Through its participation at KLIMS 2026, UMW Toyota Motor is inviting Malaysians to explore how the “Move Your World” philosophy is shaping Toyota’s future. From innovative concept vehicles and electrified mobility options to engaging motorsport experiences, the showcase presents a vision of transportation that remains firmly centred on people while preparing for the mobility needs of tomorrow.
