Perodua has announced a reduction in the cost of service maintenance parts and labour charges across its authorised service network, a move aimed at helping Malaysians manage rising living expenses while maintaining their vehicles in optimal condition.

The initiative, which takes effect from 19 June, is expected to lower the average service bill for customers by approximately 10%, subject to applicable terms and conditions. The reduction covers both maintenance parts and labour costs used during scheduled servicing and repair work.

According to Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, the company remains committed to delivering greater value to its customers by making vehicle ownership more affordable.

He explained that the cost reduction is designed to lessen the overall mobility expenses faced by Perodua owners, while encouraging them to continue servicing their vehicles at authorised centres using genuine parts. This ensures that Perodua vehicles maintain their reliability, safety and efficiency throughout their ownership cycle.

The campaign applies to the company’s entire vehicle lineup, including the recently introduced QV-E electric vehicle. Customers can benefit from lower costs on a wide range of maintenance services, including vehicle inspections, replacement parts and labour-related servicing work.

Perodua estimates that the initiative could positively impact a significant portion of Malaysian motorists, considering that more than five million Perodua vehicles are currently on the road nationwide. In 2025 alone, approximately 3.7 million vehicles were serviced through the company’s nationwide service centre network.

The maintenance cost reduction follows Perodua’s recent efforts to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible. The automaker previously lowered the price of the QV-E to RM93,999 for outright purchase, or RM69,999 for the vehicle body paired with its Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) programme, which carries a monthly fee of RM215 including tax over a nine-year period.

As part of a limited-time promotion running until 30 September 2026, customers can purchase the QV-E outright for RM87,499 or opt for the BAAS package at RM63,499, while retaining the same monthly battery subscription fee.

Dato’ Sri Zainal attributed these customer-focused price reductions to operational improvements within the company. By increasing efficiency and eliminating unnecessary costs throughout its operations, Perodua has been able to pass the resulting savings directly to consumers.

Customers seeking further details on the maintenance cost reduction campaign and its terms and conditions are encouraged to visit their nearest Perodua authorised service centre or consult the company’s official website.
