Dongfeng Malaysia is making a confident debut at the Penang Autoshow 2026, marking a significant milestone as the brand steps onto one of Malaysia’s key automotive stages for the first time. Held from 1–3 May at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre, the showcase reflects Dongfeng’s ambition to strengthen its presence in the region while highlighting its growing expertise in electric mobility.

At the event, Dongfeng Malaysia is presenting a comprehensive EV lineup tailored to different lifestyles and driving needs. Leading the charge is the flagship Dongfeng 007, accompanied by the compact Dongfeng BOX and the versatile Dongfeng VIGO—each designed to serve a distinct segment of modern drivers.

Taking centre stage is the Dongfeng 007, a premium electric sedan crafted for professionals and long-distance drivers who demand both performance and refinement. With a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 3.9 seconds (Prime variant), the 007 delivers sports-level acceleration while maintaining a smooth and composed driving experience.

Its impressive range of up to 650 km makes it well-suited for extended journeys, while 200 kW DC fast charging ensures minimal downtime. Inside, the sedan offers a luxury-focused cabin highlighted by a 19-speaker immersive audio system and personalized driver headrest sound.

Beyond comfort, the 007 emphasizes safety and intelligent driving. Features such as transparent chassis visualization and a driver fatigue monitoring system enhance awareness and confidence, particularly on long highway drives. The battery system is engineered to exceed stringent safety standards, ensuring reliability even under extreme conditions.

Designed for urban living, the Dongfeng BOX is a compact electric hatchback aimed at young professionals and first-time EV buyers. Its agile size makes it ideal for navigating busy city streets, while smart features simplify everyday driving.

The BOX includes an automatic parking system capable of handling perpendicular, parallel, and sideways parking—perfect for tight urban spaces. With 10 Level 2 ADAS features, keyless entry, and walk-away auto lock, it delivers both convenience and peace of mind.

Offering a driving range of up to 430 km, the BOX comfortably supports daily commutes and weekend outings. Its affordability is further enhanced by attractive rebates, making it an accessible entry point into electric mobility.

For those who need more space and flexibility, the Dongfeng VIGO electric SUV delivers practicality without compromising performance. Designed with families and lifestyle users in mind, the VIGO offers a generous 500-litre boot and a split tailgate for easier loading during trips, grocery runs, or outdoor activities.

Its robust build incorporates aerospace-grade laser welding technology, enhancing durability and structural strength. With a range of up to 471 km, the VIGO is well-equipped for both daily use and longer weekend getaways.

Visitors to the Dongfeng booth can take advantage of special event-only rewards, with additional gifts offered to customers who place bookings during the autoshow.
