DENZA Malaysia has officially introduced the all-new DENZA B8, marking the brand’s first-ever DMO Super Hybrid model to arrive in the Malaysian market. Combining electrified performance, premium luxury and genuine off-road capability, the new SUV is offered in two variants — the Premium 6-seater priced at RM518,800 and the Dynamic 7-seater at RM458,800.

The launch represents a significant step forward for DENZA as it expands beyond fully electric vehicles into a broader range of new energy mobility solutions tailored for Malaysian customers. According to Jacob Ma, Managing Director of BYD Malaysia, the introduction of the DENZA B8 reflects the company’s commitment to delivering more advanced, versatile and premium mobility options in the local market.

Built on the brand’s advanced DMO Super Hybrid Platform, the DENZA B8 combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with dual electric motors and BYD’s Blade Battery technology. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system produces a substantial 450kW and 760Nm of torque, enabling strong acceleration and confident performance whether on highways, city streets or challenging off-road terrain.

The SUV is powered by a 36.8kWh Blade Battery capable of delivering up to 115km of pure electric driving range under the NEDC cycle. Paired with a large 91-litre fuel tank, the DENZA B8 boasts a claimed combined driving range of up to 1,040km, making it suitable for both daily commutes and long-distance journeys. The hybrid system seamlessly switches between Pure EV, HEV Series and Parallel modes to optimise efficiency and performance according to driving conditions.

Charging capabilities are equally impressive, with support for up to 120kW DC fast charging that allows the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 16 minutes. An 11kW AC charging option is also included, alongside a 6.6kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function that enables the SUV to power external devices and equipment.

A key highlight of the DENZA B8 is its DiSUS-P Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control System. Designed to improve ride comfort, handling stability and off-road adaptability, the system allows up to 140mm of ride height adjustment and supports water wading depths of up to 890mm. The SUV also benefits from improved approach and departure angles of 34 and 35 degrees respectively, reinforcing its rugged credentials. Riding on 20-inch wheels wrapped in 275/55R20 tyres, the DENZA B8 delivers a commanding presence while maintaining composure across varying road conditions.

On the outside, the DENZA B8 adopts a bold Starship Mecha-inspired design language, featuring Starship Wing LED daytime running lights, Energy Thruster-inspired tail lamps and muscular body lines that enhance its road presence.

Inside, the cabin focuses heavily on luxury, comfort and flexibility. Premium Nappa leather upholstery, a spacious driver-oriented layout and a refined atmosphere create a sophisticated environment for passengers. The Premium variant offers a six-seat configuration complete with second-row captain seats, integrated ottomans, ventilation and massage functions, while the Dynamic variant features a seven-seat layout with a reclining ventilated second-row bench seat.

Both variants offer electrically folding second and third-row seats for added versatility, with luggage capacity ranging from 147 litres to 920 litres in the seven-seater model and up to 902 litres in the six-seater version. Enhancing the cabin experience further is a standard 18-speaker Devialet premium audio system designed to deliver immersive sound quality for all occupants.

Customers can personalise the DENZA B8 with five exterior colours — Alpine White, Dawn Gold, Eclipse Black, Emerald Green and Nebula Silver — alongside two interior themes, Onyx Black and Jasper Brown.

To provide greater ownership peace of mind, DENZA includes a comprehensive warranty and service package with the B8. This includes a six-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, complimentary scheduled maintenance for six years worth RM10,000, an eight-year or 160,000km warranty for both the high-voltage battery and drive unit, as well as a complimentary V2L adapter.

The new DENZA B8 will make its first public appearance from 22 to 24 May 2026 at multiple locations including Bangsar Shopping Centre, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, and selected DENZA showrooms in Balakong, Glenmarie, KLCC and Penang.
