PRO-NET is rolling out an exciting nationwide initiative to accelerate the adoption of electrified mobility. Through the Proton e.MAS Golden Test Drive Campaign, Malaysians are invited to experience the brand’s electric vehicle (EV) line-up firsthand—while standing a chance to win real gold.
Running from 13 April to 17 May 2026, the campaign showcases the growing appeal of Proton’s electrified offerings under the Proton e.MAS banner. Participants can get behind the wheel of models such as the Proton e.MAS 7, Proton e.MAS 5, and Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV, making it easier than ever to explore the benefits of EV and plug-in hybrid technology.
At the heart of the campaign lies the “Golden” theme, symbolising both the value and privilege of embracing electrified mobility. More than just a marketing concept, it represents a rewarding ownership journey driven by innovation, advanced technology, and tangible incentives for customers taking their first step into the EV world.
A key highlight is the “30 Gold Bars in 30 Days” giveaway. Over five consecutive weeks, a total of 30 winners nationwide will each receive a 3-gram gold bar, with six winners selected weekly. Participation is straightforward—customers simply need to complete a test drive, place a booking for any Proton e.MAS model, and submit their campaign entry through an authorised dealer.
According to Zhang Qiang, test drives play a crucial role in converting curiosity into confidence, especially for first-time EV users. With rising fuel costs and ongoing economic pressures, he noted that the timing is ideal for Malaysians to consider switching to electrified mobility, supported by hands-on experience and meaningful rewards.
The campaign also features a grand prize pool worth RM120,000, adding further excitement. One lucky winner will receive an all-expenses-paid 5-day, 4-night trip for two to Australia’s Gold Mine Tour. Additionally, three winners will walk away with 5-gram gold bars under the Gold Class prize category.
Joining the campaign is simple. Participants need to follow Proton e.MAS on social media, visit an authorised dealership, test drive and book their preferred model, and submit an entry form. With accessibility at its core, the campaign aims to make EV adoption both engaging and rewarding.
To bring the experience closer to the public, Proton e.MAS will also host a series of roadshows across Malaysia. These include stops at Queensbay Mall from 15–19 April, AEON Melaka from 19–24 May, and East Coast Mall from 24–28 June. Visitors can explore the vehicles up close, interact with product specialists, and gain a deeper understanding of Proton’s electrified innovations.
With Proton e.MAS reportedly accounting for one in every two EVs sold in Malaysia in 2026, the brand continues to solidify its leadership in the local EV space. The Golden Test Drive Campaign builds on this momentum, offering Malaysians not just a glimpse into the future of mobility—but a golden opportunity to be part of it.
