In a celebration that blended festive spirit with a shared passion for electric mobility, PRO-NET—a subsidiary of Proton and the nation’s leading EV brand—hosted a vibrant Raya Open House that brought together its growing community of Proton e.MAS owners. Held on 12 April 2026 at DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam i-City, the event welcomed over 380 attendees from across the Klang Valley, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s journey.
A standout moment of the day was a striking convoy of 50 Proton e.MAS vehicles, featuring models such as the Proton e.MAS 7, Proton e.MAS 5, and Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV. The convoy journeyed from the PROTON Centre of Excellence (COE) to i-City, symbolising the rapid growth of the EV community and the increasing presence of electric vehicles on Malaysian roads.
Speaking at the event, Chief Brand Officer Puan Salawati Mohd Yusoff highlighted the importance of the gathering beyond its festive context. She emphasised that the event was a meaningful opportunity for PRO-NET to connect directly with owners, hear their experiences, and strengthen the relationship between the brand and its community. As the country’s top EV brand, PRO-NET remains committed to fostering a supportive and engaged ownership ecosystem.
The celebration also served as a platform to recognise loyal customers through a series of Customer Appreciation Awards. Categories included the Distance Award for the highest mileage, the Highest Charging Award for frequent charging activity tracked via the Proton e.MAS app, and the Participation Award for active involvement in PRO-NET initiatives. These recognitions underscored the diverse ways owners contribute to the community.
Looking ahead, PRO-NET is enhancing the Proton e.MAS ownership experience through strategic collaborations with partners such as ZUS Coffee and Huawei. These partnerships aim to expand the ecosystem and introduce new benefits, with further details expected to be revealed progressively.
The event also highlighted how EV ownership is reshaping traditional travel experiences. For many attendees, the recent Hari Raya marked their first “balik kampung” journey using an electric vehicle. Owners shared positive feedback, noting how the Proton e.MAS app simplified route planning, charging station discovery, and overall trip management, making long-distance travel more convenient and less daunting.
With growing confidence in EV capabilities, drivers are beginning to see electric vehicles as practical options not only for daily commutes but also for interstate travel. This shift in perception reflects broader acceptance and trust in EV technology across Malaysia.
To further strengthen its community, Proton e.MAS encourages owners to stay connected through its official platforms, including the Proton e.MAS Official Community Facebook Group and the dedicated mobile app. These channels provide updates, support, and a space for owners to share experiences, fostering a strong “KitaJagaKita” spirit built on mutual support and meaningful engagement.
As PRO-NET continues to expand its ecosystem and community initiatives, the Raya Open House stands as a testament to how far Malaysia’s EV movement has come—and the promising road that lies ahead.
