Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd (IMSB) has rolled out its 2026 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Truck for Life’, a nationwide blood donation campaign designed to support the National Blood Centre Malaysia in maintaining a steady and sufficient blood supply for hospitals across the country.

The initiative will see the ‘Truck for Life’ campaign travel extensively across Malaysia, making scheduled stops at Isuzu dealerships throughout both Peninsular and East Malaysia. By bringing donation opportunities closer to communities, the campaign aims to encourage greater participation from customers, employees, and the general public. The nationwide tour is set to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with strong backing from Isuzu’s dealer network.

According to IMSB Chief Operating Officer Masashi Nuijima, the campaign reflects the company’s continued commitment to making a meaningful difference in society. He emphasised that Isuzu Malaysia has consistently pursued CSR initiatives that generate positive social impact, and the ‘Truck for Life’ programme stands out as a key effort in supporting the country’s healthcare needs.

The campaign officially kicked off at IMSB’s headquarters in Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya, where a one-day event successfully collected 15 litres of blood—an encouraging start for what is expected to be a far-reaching initiative. Following this launch, the campaign will continue its journey nationwide through participating dealerships.

The need for blood donations in Malaysia remains critical. The National Blood Centre has highlighted that between 15,000 and 17,000 bags of blood are required daily to meet the needs of patients undergoing surgeries, emergency treatments, and ongoing medical care. Campaigns like ‘Truck for Life’ play a vital role in ensuring that these demands are consistently met.

Nuijima also noted that Isuzu Malaysia’s longstanding leadership in the truck market—having held the No.1 position in the country for over 14 consecutive years—comes with a responsibility to give back to the community. Through this initiative, the company hopes to inspire more Malaysians to step forward as donors, reinforcing a culture of compassion and collective responsibility.

Beyond this campaign, IMSB has a strong track record in community-focused efforts, including environmental programmes such as tree planting, as well as outreach initiatives supporting underprivileged groups like orphanages and elderly homes. These efforts underscore the company’s broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment.

With ‘Truck for Life’, Isuzu Malaysia not only aims to contribute to life-saving efforts but also to strengthen its connection with communities nationwide—driving home the message that every donation has the power to save lives.
