Perodua has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting local law enforcement by donating nine vehicles to two district police headquarters in Selangor, providing additional mobility to officers as they carry out their duties and serve the public. The contribution comprises seven units of the Perodua Ativa and two units of the Perodua Aruz, handed over to the Hulu Selangor District Police Headquarters (IPD Hulu Selangor) and the KLIA District Police Headquarters (IPD KLIA) under the national automaker’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the contribution was a gesture of appreciation for the police force’s dedication to maintaining public safety and security. “We appreciate the police’s role in the safety of the country, and we value their sacrifice and dedication when performing their duties. We hope our contribution will help in their efforts to serve the public,” he said.
The vehicle handover began in April 2026, when the first three units of the Perodua Ativa were delivered to IPD Hulu Selangor. The remaining six vehicles were handed over during a ceremony in Kuala Kubu Bharu on 12 October 2026. The ceremony was attended by Selangor Chief of Police Dato’ Pahlawan Shazeli Dato’ Kahar, who received the mock keys from Dato’ Sri Zainal, symbolising the continued partnership between Perodua and the police.
The latest contribution builds on Perodua’s longstanding efforts to support law enforcement agencies in Selangor. Since 2019, the company has donated a total of 21 vehicles to various district police headquarters across the state. Previous contributions included two units of the Perodua Bezza in 2019, four units of the Perodua Myvi in 2022, and six vehicles of various models in 2024.
