Ferrari has unveiled the Ferrari CZ26, an exclusive One-Off created through its Special Projects programme for a US client. Developed by the Ferrari Design Studio under the direction of Flavio Manzoni, the bespoke creation offers a highly individual interpretation of the supersport berlinetta, combining the performance foundations of the SF90 Stradale with a radically clean and forward-looking design.

While the Ferrari CZ26 retains the technical specifications and dynamic character of the SF90 Stradale, its visual identity is entirely distinctive. The project was conceived around the principles of strength, precision and formal purity, resulting in a machine that appears both technologically advanced and unmistakably Ferrari.

The most defining feature of the CZ26 is its strongly horizontal design theme. Its two-box silhouette gives the car a planted, road-hugging stance, while a central capsule-like body is framed by muscular forms around the four wheel arches. From the front, the bodywork appears to flow as one continuous element towards a cleanly truncated rear, creating a coherent visual relationship between the front and back of the car.

At the front, a full-width functional grille dominates the design. It incorporates ultra-slim lighting units with a concealed appearance, alongside brake cooling intakes, sensors and other technical components. A pronounced vertical leading edge gives the nose an assertive character, while the unusually broad horizontal treatment reinforces the car’s low and stable appearance.

The rear continues the same philosophy with a sharply truncated tail and distinctive cantilevered taillights. Together with the strongly horizontal diffuser, these elements give the rear a light yet sculptural appearance while visually widening the car’s stance.

Ferrari has taken an exceptionally integrated approach to the exterior. Cooling intakes, aerodynamic components, light clusters and carbon-fibre elements appear to emerge naturally from the main body surfaces rather than being treated as separate additions. The result draws inspiration from influential examples of Italian industrial design from the 1970s, but interprets those principles through a distinctly modern lens.

The cockpit has been designed to appear almost embedded within the bodywork. Black treatment across the roof and pillars creates the impression of a separate cockpit capsule, allowing the surrounding bodywork to retain its clean visual flow.

The colour and material specification further establishes the CZ26’s technical character. Its body is finished in Argento Veloce, a distinctive silver shade with a liquid-like appearance that highlights the sculpted surfaces. Rosso Lampante accents provide contrast, while pigmented carbon-fibre components add further visual depth.

The bespoke wheels were created specifically for the CZ26 and combine gloss-black painted sections with a shot-peened surface treatment. Natural-finish titanium exhaust tailpipes complete the exterior specification, providing an exposed expression of the car’s high-performance mechanical character.

Inside, Ferrari has continued the exterior’s minimalist and technical theme. The cabin features bespoke black technical fabric, with specially designed seat inserts produced using additive manufacturing. Rosso Lampante detailing links the interior to the exterior, while an embroidered CZ26 logo reinforces its one-off status.

A mixture of matte technical fabric, satin carbon-fibre and special gloss carbon-fibre incorporating metallic filaments creates a layered finish throughout the cabin. Body-coloured sections on the door panels and upper dashboard provide another visual connection with the exterior.

Despite the CZ26’s emphasis on design, Ferrari’s engineers have also undertaken substantial aerodynamic development. The front cooling system and airflow management have been extensively revised, including the reorientation of the central radiator pack and the addition of dedicated bypass ducts. These changes are designed to improve cooling efficiency while increasing the downforce acting on the front axle.

The underbody and vortex-generator system have likewise been redesigned to optimise the car’s aerodynamic balance. At the front bumper, air curtains help control the wake generated by the front wheels, reducing drag as airflow passes around the car.

At the rear, Ferrari has introduced a large upper spoiler and dedicated diffuser, both developed to generate additional downforce without compromising aerodynamic efficiency. The rear engine cover has also been redesigned, incorporating dedicated vents to improve heat extraction from the engine compartment and maintain effective thermal management.

The Ferrari CZ26 ultimately demonstrates what Ferrari’s Special Projects programme can achieve when the boundaries of standard production-car design are removed. Based on the formidable performance credentials of the SF90 Stradale, it transforms those foundations into a highly personal creation with its own visual language.

Rather than simply adding bespoke styling to an existing Ferrari, the CZ26 takes a more fundamental approach, integrating aerodynamic function, materials, proportions and detailing into a single design philosophy. The result is a One-Off that combines Ferrari’s performance heritage with an uncompromising vision of what a future-facing supersport berlinetta could look like.
