BMW Group Malaysia has expanded its high-performance portfolio with the introduction of two highly anticipated BMW M models – the New BMW M2 CS and the All-New BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive. Making their Malaysian debut at the BMW Clubhouse event in Factory 19, Petaling Jaya, both models showcase distinct interpretations of BMW M’s performance philosophy while catering to enthusiasts seeking either pure driving exhilaration or everyday versatility with race-bred capability.
According to BMW Group Malaysia Managing Director Benjamin Nagel, the arrival of both models underscores the brand’s continued commitment to delivering authentic BMW M experiences to Malaysian customers. While the BMW M2 CS represents one of the most focused and track-oriented vehicles ever produced by BMW M, the BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive introduces an entirely new chapter for local enthusiasts by bringing the legendary M3 formula into a practical Touring body style for the first time.
The Most Extreme BMW M2 Yet
The New BMW M2 CS stands as the most powerful and lightest BMW M2 ever produced. Developed with extensive motorsport influence, the limited-production model combines increased performance, reduced weight, and enhanced driving dynamics to create a machine designed for purists.
Visually, the M2 CS distinguishes itself through a model-specific kidney grille, aggressive front splitter, exclusive badging, and extensive use of carbon fibre components. Among its highlights are a bespoke carbon tailgate featuring an integrated ducktail spoiler, a carbon roof, and a carbon rear diffuser. Together, these lightweight elements contribute to an approximate 30kg reduction in weight compared to the standard M2.
The cabin continues the motorsport-inspired theme with M Carbon bucket seats, a carbon-fibre centre console, Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel, illuminated CS branding, and numerous lightweight performance-focused details. Despite its track credentials, the M2 CS retains premium features such as electric seat adjustment, dual-zone climate control, Comfort Access, wireless connectivity, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system.
Power comes from BMW M’s renowned 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six S58 engine, producing 530hp and 650Nm of torque. Paired exclusively with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission sending power to the rear wheels, the M2 CS accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 302km/h with the standard M Driver’s Package.
Further enhancing its dynamic capabilities are a model-specific Adaptive M Suspension lowered by 8mm, M Sport Differential, M Compound brakes, and a suite of performance technologies including M Drive Professional, M Traction Control, M Drift Analyser, and TRACK mode.
Available exterior colours include Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey, and Velvet Blue, paired exclusively with Merino Black upholstery featuring M highlights.
BMW M3 Touring Arrives in Malaysia
Joining the M2 CS is another landmark model – the All-New BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive. Marking the first time an M3 Touring has officially been offered in Malaysia, the performance wagon combines the thrilling character of the M3 with the practicality of a spacious estate body.
The latest M3 Touring features redesigned Adaptive LED headlights with Matrix technology, signature M styling elements, and forged 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. Beyond its performance credentials, it also delivers impressive practicality with a luggage capacity of 500 litres, expandable to 1,510 litres when the rear seats are folded.
Inside, the M3 Touring adopts BMW’s latest driver-focused cockpit layout, featuring the BMW Curved Display that integrates a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 14.9-inch central touchscreen. Carbon-fibre trim, ambient lighting, M Carbon bucket seats, and a motorsport-inspired Alcantara steering wheel further reinforce its high-performance identity.
Under the bonnet lies the same 530hp, 650Nm twin-turbocharged inline-six engine found in BMW’s latest Competition models. Unlike the rear-wheel-drive M2 CS, the M3 Touring channels its performance through BMW’s M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, enabling a blistering 0-100km/h sprint in just 3.6 seconds.
Its Adaptive M Suspension, M Sport Differential, and M Compound brakes ensure that the Touring body style sacrifices none of the dynamic precision expected from an M3. At the same time, an extensive suite of driver assistance systems, including Driving Assistant Professional and Parking Assistant Plus, enhances daily usability.
Customers can choose between Skyscraper Grey and Isle of Man Green exterior finishes, paired with a selection of premium Merino leather interior options.
Enhanced Ownership Experience
Beyond introducing two of its most exciting M models to date, BMW Group Malaysia is also reinforcing its commitment to premium ownership through its comprehensive “Relax. We Care.” programme.
The initiative centres around BMW Proactive Care, a system that continuously monitors vehicle health through real-time sensor data. Should a potential issue or maintenance requirement be detected, owners are automatically notified through the My BMW App or the vehicle’s iDrive system, enabling preventive maintenance before problems escalate.
Additionally, both models benefit from BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI), which includes a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and five years or 100,000km of scheduled service coverage. BMW Roadside Assistance further enhances ownership confidence with 24-hour emergency support, towing services, courtesy vehicles, and accommodation assistance when required.
For customers seeking a flexible financing solution, BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia offers a Straight-Line Financing programme. Based on an 80% financing margin over a seven-year tenure, monthly instalments start from RM11,262 for the New BMW M2 CS and RM10,646 for the All-New BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive.
The New BMW M2 CS is priced from RM950,800 with the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive package, while the retail price without the package stands at RM993,100.
Meanwhile, the All-New BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive is available from RM898,800 with BMW Service & Repair Inclusive, or RM950,900 without the package.
Both models were unveiled at BMW Clubhouse, held at Factory 19 in Petaling Jaya, where visitors can experience them firsthand from 17 to 19 July 2026 alongside BMW Group Malaysia’s latest range of vehicles and technological innovations.
The introduction of these two high-performance models also comes with notable international accolades. The New BMW M2 CS recently claimed the 2025 AUTO BILD Sportscars of the Year award in the “Compact Sports Cars over €50,000” category, while the BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive was named What Car? Performance Car of the Year 2025 for the second consecutive year.
