Sime Beyond Auto (Beyond Auto) is strengthening its position as Malaysia’s largest BYD dealer group with the opening of BYD Sri Petaling, its sixth outlet nationwide. The expansion reflects the company’s continued focus on improving accessibility to BYD’s electric vehicle (EV) range while elevating the overall customer ownership experience.
Located within the Bukit Jalil–Sri Petaling corridor in Kuala Lumpur, the new 1S centre brings BYD closer to one of the city’s rapidly growing residential and lifestyle communities. The area, known for its mix of young professionals, families, and sporting attractions, provides a strategic location for the brand to engage with consumers seeking sustainable mobility solutions.
The opening of BYD Sri Petaling also marks another step in Sime Beyond Auto’s wider retail expansion strategy, which combines physical showroom accessibility with digital innovation and customer-focused services.
Beginning in August, the outlet will introduce a sports-inspired showroom concept that takes inspiration from Bukit Jalil’s identity as a sporting hub, home to the National Stadium and other world-class facilities. The concept aims to create a more engaging retail environment centred around energy, performance, and movement.
A key feature of the redesigned showroom will be a dedicated vehicle delivery area envisioned as the “centre field”, transforming each vehicle handover into a memorable milestone for customers. The outlet will also feature space for up to five vehicles, alongside a customer lounge designed to provide a comfortable and lifestyle-oriented experience.
