DENZA will introduce its flagship Grand Tourer, the DENZA Z9GT, to Malaysia on 15 July 2026, marking the model’s Asia Pacific debut. As the latest addition to BYD Group’s luxury technology brand, the Z9GT showcases a combination of high-performance electric drivetrain technology, advanced vehicle intelligence and premium interior features.
Since its Malaysian introduction in February 2025, DENZA has expanded its presence in the luxury electric vehicle segment through models such as the DENZA D9 luxury electric MPV and the DENZA B8 Luxury SUV Dual Mode Off-Road. The arrival of the Z9GT further expands the brand’s portfolio, introducing its latest technological developments, including the e3 Platform, BYD Flash Charging Technology and advanced driver assistance systems supported by LiDAR technology.
Positioned as DENZA’s flagship Grand Tourer, the Z9GT is developed around the brand’s “Technology Drives Elegance” philosophy, combining performance-oriented engineering with luxury-focused design and intelligent mobility features.
The DENZA Z9GT is the first DENZA model to utilise the company’s e3 Platform, an advanced vehicle architecture designed to enhance driving performance, manoeuvrability and control.
Powered by a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system, the Z9GT produces up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and 1,210 Nm of torque. This enables the electric grand tourer to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, while offering a maximum electric driving range of up to 701 km (NEDC).
Beyond acceleration performance, the e3 Platform incorporates several technologies designed to improve everyday usability. The vehicle features rear-wheel steering with up to 15 degrees of movement, contributing to a turning radius of 4.62 metres. Additional functions including e3 Parking, Crab Mode, Pencil Compass Turn and Vehicle Motion Control (VMC) provide enhanced manoeuvrability in various driving situations.
The Z9GT is also equipped with the DiSUS-A Dual Chamber Air Suspension system, which continuously adjusts suspension characteristics according to road conditions to provide a balance between ride comfort and handling stability.
The Z9GT is powered by BYD’s Second Generation Blade Battery 2.0, featuring a 122.49 kWh battery pack operating on a 1,000V high-voltage electrical architecture.
Supporting BYD Flash Charging Technology, the system allows the battery to charge from 10 percent to 70 percent in approximately five minutes, while a 10 percent to 97 percent charge can be achieved in around nine minutes under suitable charging conditions.
The latest battery technology also offers improved energy density compared with the previous generation while retaining the safety characteristics associated with BYD’s Blade Battery technology. The battery has undergone extensive testing, including nail penetration testing, to evaluate thermal stability and safety performance.
The exterior design of the DENZA Z9GT follows a sculpted silhouette inspired by the concept of flowing silk, combining aerodynamic efficiency with a premium visual identity.
Design highlights include Dual Line LED headlamps, Hourglass taillights and Meteor Welcome Lighting, contributing to the vehicle’s distinctive appearance. The overall proportions are designed to combine the stance of a performance vehicle with the elegance expected from a luxury grand tourer.
Inside, the cabin features premium materials including genuine leather and real wood trim. Comfort features include electrically operated soft-close doors, front seats with active side bolsters and a range of convenience technologies for both driver and passengers.
The Z9GT also includes a Devialet® 20-speaker premium audio system, dual 50W wireless charging pads for front occupants, a rear 50W wireless charging pad, and a large-capacity compressor refrigerator with heating functionality.
For practicality, the vehicle offers a 495-litre rear luggage compartment and a 53-litre front trunk, providing additional storage flexibility for daily use and longer journeys.
The DENZA Z9GT features an intelligent cabin system powered by a high-performance 3nm processor, designed to provide responsive infotainment operation and connectivity features.
With Google Built-In integration, occupants have access to navigation, digital services and connected features designed to support a more convenient in-car experience.
The DENZA Z9GT will officially debut in Malaysia on 15 July 2026, with public viewing and test drives available at DENZA Premium showrooms nationwide from 16 July 2026 onwards.
To support the arrival of the new model, BYD Malaysia will progressively introduce BYD Flash Charging infrastructure at selected DENZA Premium showrooms, expanding charging accessibility for customers.
With its combination of high-performance electric powertrain technology, advanced vehicle control systems and luxury-oriented features, the DENZA Z9GT represents the latest step in DENZA’s expansion of premium electrified mobility in Malaysia.
