Motul has strengthened its involvement in regional motorcycle racing with the announcement of a new partnership with Boon Siew Honda (BSH), becoming the Official Title Sponsor and Lubricant Partner for two of the manufacturer’s racing programmes during the 2026 season.
The collaboration covers Honda’s campaigns in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) AP250 category and the Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) 250 category. Under the agreement, the teams will compete as the Motul Honda Asia Team in ARRC AP250 and Motul Honda Racing Malaysia in MSBK 250.
The partnership marks a significant step in Motul’s motorsport activities across the Asia-Pacific region, further extending its relationship with Boon Siew Honda while providing a platform for the lubricant specialist to showcase its racing technologies in competitive environments.
As part of the agreement, Motul will supply its flagship 300V racing lubricant range, which has long been associated with professional motorsport applications. The company views racing as an important environment for testing and refining product performance under demanding conditions, with lessons learned on the track often influencing future product development.
Boon Siew Honda, meanwhile, brings its established racing infrastructure, rider development programmes, and championship experience to the partnership. Together, both parties aim to strengthen their presence in two of the region’s most competitive motorcycle racing series.
Carlo Savoca, Chief Marketing Officer of Motul Asia Pacific, described the collaboration as a natural progression of the company’s commitment to motorsport in the region. He noted that the ARRC and MSBK programmes provide valuable opportunities to evaluate lubricant performance under extreme racing conditions while helping to strengthen Motul’s connection with motorcycle enthusiasts throughout Asia-Pacific.
Boon Siew Honda Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kunitomo Asano highlighted the importance of having a technical partner with extensive motorsport experience. He said Honda’s racing ambitions are supported by partners who share a similar focus on performance and development, adding that Motul’s expertise could contribute to the competitiveness of the teams in both championships.
The remainder of the 2026 season will see the two teams contest several key rounds across Southeast Asia. The Motul Honda Asia Team will continue its ARRC AP250 campaign with races at Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia, Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, and Chang International Circuit in Thailand.
Meanwhile, Motul Honda Racing Malaysia will compete in the remaining MSBK 250 rounds, all scheduled to take place at the Sepang International Circuit, with races set for July and November.
The partnership reflects the continuing importance of motorsport as both a development platform and marketing avenue for manufacturers and technical suppliers. With several championship rounds still to be contested, the collaboration will provide both Motul and Boon Siew Honda an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of their combined efforts on track while increasing their visibility among motorcycle racing fans across the region.
