Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has added fresh momentum to the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026 with the exclusive preview of the all-new Hyundai STARGAZER, giving Malaysians an early look at one of the brand’s most anticipated upcoming models. The limited-time showcase underscores Hyundai’s commitment to broadening its local vehicle lineup while offering a glimpse into the company’s evolving vision for mobility in Malaysia.

The introduction of the new STARGAZER marks another important milestone for HMY following its establishment as a direct subsidiary in the country. As Hyundai continues to strengthen its presence in Malaysia, the new model reflects the brand’s focus on delivering practical, technology-driven and lifestyle-oriented vehicles that cater to the changing needs of modern families.

The KLIMS 2026 preview also highlights Hyundai’s ability to offer a diverse range of products, spanning from high-performance electric vehicles to versatile family-focused models. This strategy reinforces the company’s ambition to provide innovative mobility solutions suited to different stages of life and driving preferences.

Speaking during the preview, Hyundai Motor Malaysia Managing Director Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen described the STARGAZER as a “WEhicle,” emphasizing that the vehicle was designed with people at its core.

According to her, the concept goes beyond transportation, focusing on the experiences shared by families and passengers. She explained that Hyundai developed the STARGAZER to serve as a smart and dependable companion that delivers a strong balance of safety, technology and convenience for every member of the family.

Designed to enhance family mobility, the upcoming STARGAZER combines spacious practicality with modern styling and advanced technology. The model features a sleek aerodynamic profile complemented by Hyundai’s signature full-width ‘H’ LED rear light bar, giving it a distinctive appearance on the road.

For buyers seeking a more adventurous look, Hyundai is also showcasing the STARGAZER X at KLIMS 2026. The SUV-inspired variant introduces a sportier character through redesigned bumpers, overfenders, a rear spoiler and blacked-out exterior accents, appealing to younger families looking for a more dynamic presence.

Inside, the STARGAZER offers a spacious three-row cabin designed to accommodate the demands of modern family life. Rather than functioning solely as a people mover, the interior emphasizes comfort and convenience through a range of thoughtful features. Highlights include a digital display measuring up to 10.25 inches, wireless smartphone charging capabilities and integrated seat-back tables that enhance passenger comfort during longer journeys.

Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-litre Smartstream engine paired with Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), delivering a balance of efficiency and smooth driving performance. Safety remains a key priority, with the STARGAZER equipped with the Hyundai SmartSense Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite. Among the available features is Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, designed to improve convenience and confidence behind the wheel.

Further strengthening its value proposition, Hyundai will offer the new STARGAZER with an extensive 8-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty package, providing long-term ownership assurance for customers.

The STARGAZER preview serves as one of the key attractions at KLIMS 2026, which is being held from 11 to 21 June at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). Hyundai has also opened bookings for the new model, which will be available in three variants with estimated pricing starting from RM99,XXX for the 7-seater Style, RM109,XXX for the 7-seater Prime, and RM121,XXX for the 6-seater X.

Visitors attending the exhibition will have the opportunity to test drive the new STARGAZER beginning 16 June 2026 and place bookings directly at the Hyundai display area. The preview offers prospective buyers and families an exclusive opportunity to experience the vehicle ahead of its official showroom launch, further strengthening Hyundai’s growing presence in Malaysia’s competitive family vehicle segment.
