Perodua has taken the next step in its electric vehicle development journey with the unveiling of its second EV concept, the C2 (Chapter 2), at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026. The showcase reflects a renewed design direction and a broader vision shaped by Malaysia’s emerging younger generations, referred to as Alpha and Beta.
Positioned as a continuation of its evolving EV storyline, the C2 concept introduces a fresh styling philosophy that departs significantly from earlier design studies. Developed by Perodua’s young design team, the vehicle embodies a forward-looking interpretation of what future mobility could look like, blending digital intelligence, connectivity, and everyday usability.
According to Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, the C2 represents a broader narrative of innovation rooted in local capability and global ambition. He described the model as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the brand’s identity of “made by Malaysians for the world,” while advancing the overall mobility experience.
The C2 is a B-segment electric vehicle prototype designed with an emphasis on intelligent driving support systems. It integrates AI-driven assistance features such as real-time navigation, live traffic updates, charging station discovery, enhanced anti-theft protection, and assisted parking functionality. These technologies are intended to improve both convenience and safety in daily driving scenarios.
A key highlight of the concept is its deep integration with Perodua’s P-Circle super app ecosystem. The platform enables seamless access to digital services including secure e-wallet functionality and priority access to genuine parts delivery, positioning the C2 as a highly connected mobility solution rather than just a standalone vehicle.
Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad noted that the C2 will serve as a foundational reference for Perodua’s future electric vehicles. He also emphasized the importance of public feedback, encouraging visitors at KLIMS 2026 to share their views to help refine future production models.
Beyond the vehicle itself, Perodua’s booth experience at the show extends into interactive technology displays, including robotics, drones, and demonstrations of the P-Circle ecosystem, offering visitors a broader look into the company’s vision of connected mobility.
