Castrol Malaysia has announced a strategic collaboration with SANY Malaysia to enhance support for Malaysia’s growing heavy equipment and construction sectors through advanced lubrication solutions and technical expertise.

The partnership brings together Castrol’s experience in liquid engineering and SANY’s expanding presence in the heavy machinery market, with both companies aiming to improve equipment reliability, operational efficiency and long-term maintenance support for contractors and fleet operators nationwide.

The agreement was formalised during a signing ceremony attended by senior representatives from both organisations. Castrol was represented by Vice President of Castrol Asia Pacific Mike Zhang, Country Sales Director for Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines Gan Wee Kiong, and Head of Marketing AsPac Victor Cheong. Representing SANY were Chairman of the Board for SANY Singapore, Malaysia and Australia BU Liao Wei and Deputy General Manager of Spare Parts Subsidiary Qi Long.

According to Mike Zhang, the collaboration reflects Castrol’s ongoing commitment to supporting industries that contribute to Malaysia’s development and infrastructure growth. By integrating Castrol’s lubrication expertise into heavy machinery operations, the company aims to help operators minimise downtime, improve equipment durability and maintain consistent performance in demanding working conditions.

Under the collaboration, Castrol will supply a range of lubricant products including engine oils, gear oils, hydraulic fluids and greases for use across SANY’s machinery lineup. Beyond product supply, Castrol will also provide technical assistance, lubrication guidance, application support and training programmes for SANY personnel and customers to ensure lubricants are properly applied across engine, transmission and hydraulic systems.

Both companies will additionally work together to identify fit-for-purpose lubrication solutions tailored to varying operational environments and workload demands.

Liao Wei highlighted that as SANY continues to expand its footprint in Malaysia, the company remains focused on delivering stronger lifecycle support for contractors, fleet owners and equipment operators. He added that Castrol’s lubrication expertise will further strengthen SANY’s aftersales capabilities while improving support consistency across its equipment network.

Central to the partnership is Castrol’s liquid engineering technology, designed to perform under sustained workloads and challenging operating conditions. Applied throughout SANY’s machinery systems, these lubrication solutions are intended to protect critical components, extend operational consistency and support long-term equipment performance.

The collaboration is also expected to benefit SANY equipment owners by improving maintenance planning, lubricant accessibility and overall equipment upkeep across construction and infrastructure projects nationwide. Castrol’s distribution capabilities, supported by its blending facility in Port Klang, will help ensure faster and more responsive lubricant supply as demand in the heavy equipment sector continues to grow.

The agreement further strengthens Castrol’s strategy of building long-term OEM partnerships in Malaysia’s heavy machinery industry. Through expanded network coverage, stable stock availability and local production support, the company aims to help equipment operators achieve greater productivity, reliability and operational efficiency through advanced lubrication solutions.
