PRO-NET rapidly expanding its presence across Malaysia following an exceptional start to 2026 for the Proton e.MAS brand. Alongside record-breaking sales growth, the company is also unveiling a refreshed premium retail identity aimed at enhancing the overall ownership journey for customers.
The Proton e.MAS brand recorded a remarkable 329.5% increase in sales during the first four months of 2026, delivering 11,617 vehicles nationwide. The strong performance positions Proton e.MAS as one of the country’s fastest-growing EV brands, reflecting rising consumer confidence in electrified mobility and Malaysia’s broader transition towards sustainable transportation.
To support the growing demand for its electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle lineup, PRO-NET has continued expanding its nationwide dealer network with the opening of two new Proton e.MAS outlets. One showroom is strategically located along Jalan Sultan Ismail in Kuala Lumpur, operating alongside a sister internal combustion engine (ICE) showroom, while the second outlet is situated at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, marking the brand’s latest shopping mall-based retail presence designed to attract urban and lifestyle-oriented consumers.
Both outlets debut the latest Proton e.MAS corporate identity, introducing a more premium and immersive showroom concept. The refreshed design incorporates modern digital elements, upgraded customer touchpoints, refined materials, and a more sophisticated colour palette to create a seamless and engaging EV purchasing experience.
The new corporate identity represents more than just a visual refresh. It signals Proton e.MAS’ evolution from a newcomer in the EV segment into a more mature mobility brand supported by a comprehensive ecosystem covering sales, aftersales services, and customer engagement.
At present, Proton e.MAS operates 53 sales outlets nationwide, making it one of Malaysia’s most extensive NEV dealership networks. The growing network supports approximately 1,600 employees across sales, servicing, and administrative roles, reinforcing PRO-NET’s long-term commitment to building a reliable and sustainable EV ownership ecosystem.
According to Zhang Qiang, the rapid growth of Proton e.MAS is not solely driven by its expanding product range, but also by the trust customers place in the brand’s sales and aftersales support system. He explained that establishing a strong ownership support structure alongside every vehicle launch helps strengthen customer confidence, while also building long-term loyalty and advocacy for the brand.
He added that PRO-NET intends to continue growing its outlet network in order to reach more potential EV buyers while delivering greater convenience and a higher standard of customer care throughout the ownership journey.
The expansion comes at a crucial period for Malaysia’s EV market, where consumers are increasingly placing importance on accessibility, charging infrastructure, aftersales assurance, and overall retail experience when selecting electrified vehicles.
By investing heavily in both physical infrastructure and customer-focused enhancements, PRO-NET aims to further strengthen Proton e.MAS’ position as a key player in Malaysia’s rapidly evolving NEV landscape. The updated corporate identity will also be gradually introduced across existing and future Proton e.MAS outlets nationwide, ensuring a more consistent and elevated brand experience for customers across all touchpoints.
