Hyundai Motor Malaysia has taken another step towards strengthening Malaysia’s automotive future by signing a Collaboration of Cooperation (CoC) with three local educational institutions — TVET MARA Masjid Tanah, SLC Auto Academy, and Despark International College. The partnership reflects Hyundai’s ongoing commitment to developing skilled automotive professionals and supporting the long-term growth of the nation’s mobility sector.
Driven by Hyundai’s global vision of “Progress for Humanity,” the initiative focuses on empowering students and educators with practical knowledge, technical expertise, and exposure to emerging automotive technologies. Through the collaboration, Hyundai Motor Malaysia aims to contribute to a stronger and more sustainable automotive ecosystem by investing in education and workforce development.
Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Malaysia, Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen, said the company’s commitment goes beyond selling vehicles and extends into supporting communities and nurturing future talent. She explained that Hyundai’s “Sentiasa Di Sisi Anda” promise also represents the brand’s dedication to equipping young Malaysians with relevant industry skills and real-world experience to help them stay ahead in a rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
As part of the collaboration, Hyundai Motor Malaysia will conduct a three-day programme spread across five sessions in 2026. The initiative is expected to benefit approximately 360 students and teachers by providing hands-on learning opportunities focused on future mobility technologies and modern vehicle systems.
Participants will gain exposure to several key automotive topics, including Vehicular Network Communication and Advanced Body Electrical systems, Advanced Driver-assistance Systems (ADAS), Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) mobility solutions, as well as eco-friendly vehicle safety and repair techniques.
Representatives from the participating academies welcomed the collaboration, highlighting its importance in bridging academic learning with industry requirements. Director of TVET MARA Masjid Tanah, Shabudin bin Said, noted that the partnership would strengthen industry engagement while helping students gain relevant expertise in Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) technologies.
Meanwhile, Head of Department at SLC Auto Academy, Hananth Parasuraman, described the partnership as an important step towards producing competent and industry-ready graduates for Malaysia’s automotive sector.
Representing Despark International College, Cherrie Lee Hsian Thoong said the collaboration reflects a shared vision of connecting academic education with the evolving demands of the automotive industry while enhancing opportunities for students through greater industry exposure and knowledge sharing.
Through this initiative, Hyundai Motor Malaysia continues to reinforce its role not only as a mobility provider, but also as a contributor to the development of future-ready automotive talent in Malaysia.
