Malaysia’s luxury SUV market is set for a new contender as DENZA introduces the all-new DENZA B8, the brand’s first plug-in hybrid model in the country. Combining electrified performance, advanced chassis technology and premium comfort, the B8 represents DENZA Malaysia’s latest step toward redefining modern off-road mobility.

Built around three key pillars — the DMO (Dual Mode Off-Road) Super Hybrid platform, DiSus-P Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control Suspension and a refined luxury cabin experience — the DENZA B8 has been engineered to seamlessly blend capability, technology and comfort into a single integrated package.

At the core of the B8 is BYD’s DMO Super Hybrid Platform, which pairs a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with dual electric motors and the company’s Blade Battery technology. Unlike traditional hybrid systems that focus mainly on city efficiency, the DMO architecture was specifically designed to support both off-road performance and long-distance touring without sacrificing refinement.

The system produces up to 450 kW and 760 Nm of torque, delivering strong acceleration alongside smooth and efficient power delivery across varying road conditions. With an all-electric driving range of up to 115 km and a total combined range reaching 1,040 km under NEDC standards, the B8 is positioned as a versatile SUV capable of handling daily urban commutes as well as extended road trips and off-road adventures.

DENZA says the hybrid system intelligently switches between Pure EV, HEV Series and Parallel modes depending on driving demands, allowing the vehicle to optimise efficiency, traction and performance automatically. The dual-motor setup also enhances stability and control on uneven terrain while maintaining the smooth driving characteristics expected from a premium SUV.

Supporting the powertrain is the DiSus-P Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control Suspension system, developed to continuously adapt to changing road and terrain conditions in real time. Rather than relying on fixed suspension settings, the system actively adjusts body movement and damping behaviour according to vehicle speed, terrain and driving dynamics.

Working together with the drivetrain and torque distribution systems, the suspension setup is designed to improve ride comfort, body stability and overall confidence whether driving in the city or venturing off-road. Beyond its capability-focused role, the DiSus-P system also contributes significantly to the B8’s luxury character by delivering a smoother and more composed ride experience.

Visually, the DENZA B8 adopts what the company describes as a “Starship Mecha-inspired” design language. Exterior highlights include Starship Wing LED daytime running lights, Energy Thruster-inspired tail lamps and a bold SUV silhouette intended to project both sophistication and rugged capability.

Inside, the cabin focuses heavily on comfort and refinement. The interior features a driver-oriented layout, elevated seating position and available Nappa leather upholstery, creating a premium environment designed to remain calm and composed even in demanding driving conditions. Enhancing the experience further is a Devialet 18-speaker premium audio system, fitted as standard across the B8 range.

DENZA positions the B8 as a luxury SUV created for a new generation of technology-focused and experience-driven buyers who expect performance, comfort and versatility without compromise. By integrating electrified powertrain technology with advanced suspension systems and premium cabin refinement, the company believes the B8 establishes a new benchmark in the luxury off-road SUV segment.

The DENZA B8 will make its first public appearance in Malaysia from 22 to 24 May 2026 at the Main Concourse, Ground Floor of Bangsar Shopping Centre, from 10am to 10pm. Registration of interest for the SUV is now open ahead of its official launch in Malaysia.
