JETOUR has put its G700 Ark Edition through a real-world amphibious navigation trial during the 2026 JETOUR Global Technology Experience Day, demonstrating how its latest technology aims to extend vehicle mobility beyond conventional off-road terrain. Conducted at the JETOUR G Series’ specialised navigation base, the trial involved an emergency navigation demonstration followed by hands-on driving experiences for international media representatives.

The event showcased the G700 Ark Edition’s ability to navigate on water, highlighting the engineering behind JETOUR’s GAIA Ark Tech system. Developed as part of the JETOUR G Series’ broader all-terrain technology platform, GAIA Ark Tech is designed to support specialised applications such as emergency rescue, outdoor exploration and demanding field operations. By combining conventional off-road capability with controlled movement on water, the technology aims to expand the range of environments in which the vehicle can operate.

At the heart of the G700 Ark Edition’s amphibious capability is an integrated system comprising comprehensive vehicle sealing, intelligent navigation stability control and a dedicated 800V water-fording system paired with the CEM-O Amphibious Range-Extender. When the vehicle enters navigation mode, its powertrain redirects energy to the dedicated water-fording system, allowing it to move forward while maintaining directional control on the water. Meanwhile, IP68-rated protection for key components provides an additional layer of protection against water ingress.

Together, these systems are intended to take the vehicle beyond conventional water-fording applications, enabling controlled on-water movement while retaining its all-terrain driving capabilities on land. The technology is particularly relevant to scenarios where conventional vehicles may face limitations, including certain emergency response operations and exploration in challenging environments. However, the vehicle’s practical operating limits will depend on the conditions encountered and the manufacturer’s specified operating procedures.

The demonstration also offered international media an opportunity to assess the G700 Ark Edition’s performance first-hand, with one European media representative highlighting the distinction between the vehicle and concept-based amphibious conversions. “Unlike the concept-level modified products commonly seen in the industry, the G700 Ark Edition is a true production-grade amphibious vehicle,” the representative commented, praising its on-water stability, system integration and ability to retain its land-based all-terrain capabilities.

The feedback reflects JETOUR’s emphasis on translating its technology development into a vehicle intended for production, rather than limiting amphibious mobility to experimental or heavily modified platforms. The G700 Ark Edition shares the same GAIA all-terrain intelligent architecture as the standard model, maintaining a common technological foundation and consistent quality standards. GAIA Ark Tech builds on this architecture by adding the systems required for water navigation, extending the vehicle’s capabilities across two distinct operating environments.

For JETOUR G Series, the trial represents another step in developing mobility solutions for conditions beyond conventional roads. By combining off-road driving with amphibious functionality, the G700 Ark Edition demonstrates an approach that could support a wider range of travel and specialised operational requirements. The involvement of international media also provides an opportunity to evaluate the technology in practical conditions, helping connect engineering development with real-world user experiences.

JETOUR says it will continue developing its all-terrain technology for diverse travel scenarios and specialised applications, with GAIA Ark Tech forming part of its efforts to expand vehicle mobility across land and water. More information about JETOUR is available at JETOUR Malaysia.
