MINI Malaysia is turning up the British charm with the introduction of the New MINI Cooper S Oxford Edition, a limited-run special edition that combines the brand’s unmistakable character with a bold celebration of its Oxford heritage. Created as a tribute to the home of modern MINI, the Oxford Edition adds a distinctive collection of Union Jack-inspired details to the MINI Cooper S, transforming the compact hot hatch into something that feels considerably more special than your average MINI.

The timing is particularly meaningful. Twenty-five years ago, the first modern MINI rolled off the production line at Plant Oxford, beginning a new chapter for one of Britain’s most recognisable automotive names. A quarter of a century later, the Oxford Edition pays homage to that heritage while keeping the playful attitude and signature Go-Kart feeling that have defined MINI for generations.

The New MINI Cooper S Oxford Edition takes one of MINI’s most familiar silhouettes and gives it a distinctly British makeover. The standout feature is undoubtedly the Union Jack graphic treatment across the roof and bonnet, giving the car an instantly recognisable appearance. This is complemented by exclusive Oxford Edition hub caps and matching valve caps, while the rear signature receives its own Union Jack detailing.

The theme continues once you step inside. An Oxford Edition badge on the steering wheel places the special-edition identity directly in the driver’s line of sight, while the entry sills and floor mats feature Union Jack detailing. Even the key gets in on the act, with an exclusive Oxford Edition key cap ensuring the British theme starts before the car is even unlocked. Rather than simply adding a badge or two, MINI has given the Oxford Edition a collection of details designed to make it feel like a genuinely curated special edition.

Adding to its exclusivity, the New MINI Cooper S Oxford Edition will be available in just three exterior colours — Chili Red, Indigo Sunset Blue and Blazing Blue. And there is a catch: only two units of each colour will be offered in Malaysia. That means just six examples of the Oxford Edition will be available locally, making colour choice almost as important as deciding whether you want one in the first place.

For MINIacs, that scarcity should make the Oxford Edition particularly appealing. It is not simply another variant in the MINI range, but a limited piece of MINI history designed for customers who want their car to stand apart from the crowd.

MINI Malaysia is also extending the Oxford Edition experience beyond the vehicle with the MINI Lifestyle Oxford Capsule, which will be available from early October 2026. The collection brings the same British-inspired personality into everyday life, comprising a MINI Traveller Bag, unisex T-shirts, a cap, MINI Oxford stickers and the rather charming MINI Umbrella Walking Stick.

Finished in dark blue to complement the Indigo Sunset Blue exterior colour, the collection features Union Jack-inspired details throughout and gives MINIacs another way to showcase their affinity for the brand.

The Oxford Edition also comes with MINI Malaysia’s suite of ownership and aftersales services. The car is covered by MINI Malaysia’s five-year Roadside Assistance programme, providing 24-hour, 365-day support. Services include accident and help-on-the-phone assistance, on-the-spot support, free towing and, where applicable, replacement vehicles, mobility solutions, accommodation and repatriation services. Customers can also arrange servicing online through MINI Service Online, allowing appointments to be scheduled directly with their preferred MINI Authorised Dealership via the MINI Malaysia service platform. Under MINI Malaysia’s “Relax. We Care.” approach, customers also benefit from technologies and programmes designed to make ownership more convenient.

MINI Proactive Care uses real-time sensor data to identify potential functional issues before they become problems, with alerts delivered through the My MINI App or the vehicle’s iDrive system. MINI ConnectedDrive meanwhile provides digital connectivity, over-the-air software updates and vehicle management functions.

The MINI Service & Repair Inclusive programme further adds peace of mind, with coverage including a four-year unlimited-mileage warranty and four years or 60,000km of service coverage. For MINI Battery Electric Vehicles, service coverage extends to six years with unlimited mileage, alongside an eight-year high-voltage battery warranty.

The New MINI Cooper S Oxford Edition is priced at RM289,888 on the road without insurance when specified with the MINI Repair & Service Inclusive Package. The listed price without the package is RM300,288. Financing is also available through BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia. With the Easy Drive Financing Plan, monthly instalments start from RM2,773, based on an estimated 75% loan over five years.
