Perodua has announced a nationwide price reduction for its Axia compact hatchback, with selected variants now costing up to RM4,700 less. The revised pricing takes effect immediately and applies to both Peninsular and East Malaysia.

The largest reduction is seen on the Axia 1.0G, which now starts from RM33,900 in Peninsular Malaysia, down from RM38,600. Meanwhile, the 1.0X receives a RM1,500 reduction, while the 1.0SE and 1.0AV are now priced RM1,000 and RM500 lower respectively.

For customers in East Malaysia, the Axia 1.0G is now priced from RM35,900, with the remaining variants also receiving similar reductions according to their respective trim levels. All listed prices exclude insurance.

Peninsular Malaysia

  • Axia 1.0G: RM33,900 (previously RM38,600)
  • Axia 1.0X: RM38,500 (previously RM40,000)
  • Axia 1.0SE: RM43,000 (previously RM44,000)
  • Axia 1.0AV: RM49,000 (previously RM49,500)

East Malaysia

  • Axia 1.0G: RM35,900 (previously RM40,600)
  • Axia 1.0X: RM40,500 (previously RM42,000)
  • Axia 1.0SE: RM45,000 (previously RM46,000)
  • Axia 1.0AV: RM51,000 (previously RM51,500)

According to Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, the price revision is intended to help ease the financial burden on Malaysian consumers while reflecting the company’s ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency.

He added that these efficiency gains have also contributed to lower service costs and recent pricing revisions for the company’s QV-E electric vehicle and its Battery as a Service (BaaS) programme.

Perodua emphasised that the Axia itself remains unchanged, with no reductions made to its specifications or quality. Instead, the lower retail prices are the result of continuous improvements in manufacturing processes and closer collaboration with local suppliers, vendors and dealer partners to enhance cost efficiency across the supply chain.

As Malaysia’s most affordable passenger car, the Axia continues to play an important role as an accessible and practical mobility solution for first-time buyers, young families and those seeking economical daily transportation.
