Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford is celebrating a significant milestone of more than 24,000 owners of Next-Generation Ford Ranger vehicles across Malaysia, reinforcing its commitment to building a strong and connected owner community. Since the launch of the Next-Generation Ranger in 2022, the pickup truck has continued to gain the confidence of Malaysian customers, serving a wide range of needs from daily work and family transportation to outdoor adventures.
Beyond selling vehicles, Auto ConneXion-Ford has placed greater emphasis on creating experiences that bring owners together. Its activities range from family-friendly gatherings and lifestyle events to dedicated off-road experiences designed to showcase the Ranger’s capabilities. One of the latest initiatives was the inaugural Ford Nation gathering, held earlier this month at Heritage Valley in Kuala Lumpur. Despite the rain, Ford enthusiasts from across the country came together with their families to celebrate their shared passion for the brand.
The event featured a barbecue and local food, accompanied by live performances from Muzza & the Velvettones and Joy Victor. Owners also took part in lucky draws and fun competitions, with special recognition given to categories including Coolest Looking Ranger and Longest Ford Owner.
For owners looking for something more adventurous, Auto ConneXion-Ford also recently hosted another edition of its Ford Ranger Getaways. The intimate event brought together 20 Ranger owners for an off-road-focused experience that began in Seremban before continuing as a convoy to StarFresh Agro Park in Negeri Sembilan.
At the campsite, participants were guided by a certified trainer through a dedicated off-road course, allowing them to experience the Ranger’s driver-assistance technologies and off-road controls in a controlled environment. Team-based challenges and games added another dimension to the experience before the evening concluded with dinner, live entertainment and giveaways.
First introduced in 2022, the quarterly Ford Ranger Getaways have become an established part of Auto ConneXion-Ford’s owner engagement programme, combining outdoor adventure with opportunities for owners to build friendships within the wider Ford community. Noerel Ismail, Head of Marketing & Communications, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion, said the 24,000-owner milestone was a reflection of the trust customers have placed in Ford. She added that the company remains focused on delivering ownership experiences that go beyond the vehicle itself, while creating meaningful connections and lasting value throughout the customer journey.
That commitment also extends to the Ford line-up. In July 2026, Auto ConneXion-Ford expanded its Ranger range to cater to different customer lifestyles, with the line-up including the Ranger Sport in 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre forms alongside the flagship Ranger Platinum 3.0-litre. The Ford Everest range also comprises the Everest Sport 2.0-litre and Everest Platinum, giving families a seven-seat SUV option that combines practicality and space with the versatility required for both everyday driving and longer journeys.
Customer support has also been strengthened with the opening of a new Ford parts warehouse in Kota Kinabalu in July. The facility is intended to improve parts availability and reduce service turnaround times, helping customers get back on the road sooner. Auto ConneXion-Ford’s nationwide network currently consists of 33 authorised dealers, providing sales, servicing and customer support across major cities and smaller communities. East Malaysia is supported by nine authorised sales and service touchpoints, including seven dealerships and two dedicated service centres, with service coverage also extended to customers in Kapit and Mukah, Sarawak.
To mark the arrival of the latest models, Auto ConneXion-Ford is also offering limited-time purchase incentives until 31 August 2026. Customers purchasing the Ranger XL or Ranger Sport 2.0L will receive a complimentary Ford Front HD1080p Dashcam, while buyers of the Ranger Sport 3.0L or Ranger Platinum 3.0L will receive a complimentary two-year Basic Extended Service Plan. All Ranger variants are additionally backed by a standard five-year warranty, providing further reassurance for customers.
With its growing owner base, expanded model range and continued investment in after-sales support and community experiences, Ford Malaysia is looking to make the Ranger experience about more than simply getting behind the wheel — creating a wider community built around work, family, adventure and shared experiences.
