WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA) has unveiled a refreshed version of the GAC GS3 EMZOOM. Carrying the theme “Refreshed, Ready, Revved Up,” the update introduces subtle design tweaks while preserving the model’s sporty character and performance-focused appeal.

The latest iteration features a redesigned Flowing Diamond Star front grille, giving the EMZOOM a sharper and more modern face. Buyers opting for the Premium R variant will also benefit from a new two-tone exterior finish, further enhancing its visual presence. The SUV is now offered in four striking colour combinations: Graphite Grey with Black Roof, Super Star Silver with Black Roof, Frost White with Black Roof, and Asphalt Black.

According to WTCA Chief Operating Officer Loh Ling Howe, the EMZOOM has already gained solid traction among Malaysian buyers thanks to its balance of performance, features, and affordability. This refresh aims to elevate its styling without compromising the sporty DNA that defines the model.

Under the bonnet, the EMZOOM continues to be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 177 PS and 270 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, the SUV delivers brisk acceleration, completing the century sprint in just 8 seconds. Despite its performance credentials, it maintains efficiency with a claimed fuel consumption of 5.9L/100km, making it suitable for both urban commutes and long-distance drives.

Inside, the EMZOOM remains competitive in its segment with a well-equipped cabin. Highlights include a digital cockpit with dual screens, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera system, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It also features Full Automatic Parking Assist (FAPA), adding convenience in tight urban spaces. The range-topping Premium R variant enhances the driving experience further with a switchable sports exhaust system and an aerodynamic body kit.

Pricing for the refreshed model remains unchanged, reinforcing its value-driven positioning. The Exclusive variant starts at RM116,800, while the Premium R variant is priced at RM126,800 (on-the-road, without insurance, for Peninsular Malaysia). For a limited period, customers can take advantage of rebates of up to RM18,500, with monthly instalments beginning from as low as RM912.

The EMZOOM is backed by GAC’s expanding presence in Malaysia, supported by a network of 23 showrooms and 45 service centres nationwide. Ownership is further strengthened by a 5-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, along with an extended 7-year or 180,000 km warranty for the engine and transmission.

The refreshed EMZOOM will be available for viewing and test drives at authorised GAC showrooms across the country, with a special preview period scheduled from 9 to 10 May. Interested buyers can also stay updated through GAC Motor Malaysia’s official website and social media channels.
