Angka-Tan Motor has strengthened its commitment to Malaysia’s growing logistics and transportation industry with the introduction of the new Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT at the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026. The latest addition marks a significant step forward for urban delivery operations by becoming the first Chinese-brand light-duty truck in Malaysia equipped with an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
Developed to address increasing pressures in last-mile delivery services, the new Aumark S Euro 5 AMT focuses on improving operational efficiency, reducing driver fatigue, and lowering fuel consumption in congested city environments. Its AMT system is designed to provide smoother gear changes during stop-and-go driving conditions, making daily logistics operations more comfortable and productive for fleet operators.
Powering the truck is the well-established Cummins ISF 3.8-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, now upgraded to meet Euro 5 emission standards for cleaner and more environmentally responsible performance. The engine produces 154 PS at 2,600 rpm and 500 Nm of torque between 1,200 and 1,900 rpm, delivering strong pulling power for urban and regional delivery duties.
The engine is paired with a ZF six-speed AMT transmission that enhances both productivity and driving refinement. Together, the Euro 5 powertrain and AMT gearbox are engineered to deliver lower running costs through improved fuel economy, reduced maintenance requirements, and longer service intervals. The automatic transmission system also broadens driver accessibility by making the truck easier to operate, encouraging wider participation including female drivers in the commercial transport sector.
Designed specifically for modern logistics applications, the Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT combines practicality with versatility. Measuring 6,930 mm in length, 2,060 mm in width, and 2,250 mm in height, the truck features a 3,800 mm wheelbase and supports a gross vehicle weight ranging from 7,500 kg to 9,900 kg. Its configuration allows businesses to adapt the vehicle for a wide range of cargo and delivery operations across urban centres.
Safety has also been enhanced with a suite of advanced driver assistance systems. The truck comes equipped with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Anti-Slip Regulation for improved traction on slippery surfaces, and Hill Start Assist to prevent rollback during uphill starts. Built under the “Super Truck Global Innovation Alliance”, the vehicle also features a reinforced cab structure compliant with ECE R29 standards to improve occupant protection.
According to Foton, the Aumark S has undergone more than 3,000,000 km of real-world durability testing across varying road and operating conditions, highlighting its focus on reliability and long-term performance.
The launch of the new light-duty model follows the earlier introduction of the Foton Auman R Euro 5 AMT in Malaysia, which brought AMT technology into the heavy-duty trucking segment. Together, the two models establish a more unified AMT commercial vehicle portfolio for Malaysian operators, offering smoother driving experiences and greater efficiency for both urban distribution and long-haul transport.
Beyond conventional diesel-powered vehicles, Angka-Tan Motor is also expanding its sustainable mobility solutions through the fully electric Foton eAumark, aimed at businesses seeking zero-emission fleet alternatives. Complementing the commercial lineup is the Foton Bus, extending the company’s presence into people mobility solutions.
The company emphasises that each model is tailored to different operational needs — from urban deliveries and interstate logistics to sustainable transportation and passenger mobility — enabling businesses to develop scalable and future-ready fleets.
James Tan, Chief Executive Officer of Warisan TC Holdings Berhad, described the launch as part of the company’s broader commitment to innovation and practical transport solutions for Malaysian businesses.
He noted that Angka-Tan Motor intends to further strengthen its position in the commercial vehicle sector, particularly within the light commercial vehicle segment, by offering products aligned with the evolving demands of modern logistics operators.
The unveiling of the new Aumark S Euro 5 AMT also coincides with Angka-Tan Motor’s 15th anniversary as an authorised Foton truck distributor in Malaysia, underscoring its long-standing role in supporting the nation’s transportation and logistics ecosystem.
Priced from RM128,800, the Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT is backed by a six-year or 300,000 km warranty package. Customers will also benefit from the company’s Foton Total Care programme, supported by the extensive Tan Chong Group service network nationwide. Additional support services include tailored fleet maintenance packages under TC Trust, driver training programmes, emergency 24-hour Res-Q assistance, and one-stop repair and insurance support.
The new truck is currently being showcased at Booth PS01 during MCVE 2026 at the Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC), alongside the Foton Auman R 6×4 LX, Foton Auman R 6×2 Air Suspension, and the Foton Bus.
