The 2026 MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship roared into action with an electrifying opening round at Litar Lumba Tangkak, Johor, on 25–26 April, where the AHM Ipone Racing Team wasted no time making its presence felt. Backed by globally recognised lubricant brand Ipone, the team kicked off the season on a high note with a podium finish in the fiercely contested CP125 category.

Rider Arash Tsunami Kamarudin delivered an impressive and composed performance, clinching third place after a tightly fought 12-lap race. Clocking a total time of 10:03.805, Arash crossed the line less than a second behind the race winner, earning 16 valuable championship points and securing third position in the early standings. His performance not only highlighted his individual capability but also underscored the team’s competitive edge right from the season opener.

Entering the 2026 campaign with clear ambitions, the AHM Ipone Racing Team is focused on challenging for top honours. The strong result in Round 1 serves as an early indicator of the team’s potential, setting a confident tone for the battles ahead.

Ravi Shankar, Country General Manager of Specialty Lubricants Trading (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, praised the achievement, emphasising the determination displayed by both rider and team. He noted that securing a podium finish in the opening round reflects the fighting spirit that aligns closely with Ipone’s performance-driven philosophy, expressing optimism for continued success throughout the season.

Echoing this sentiment, Kenny Chua highlighted the importance of Ipone’s partnership, stating that the brand’s dedication to innovation and performance complements the team’s objectives. With strong technical support and a shared vision, the team is confident in its ability to nurture talent, elevate performance, and consistently compete at the highest level.

A key factor behind the team’s performance is Ipone’s advanced Shogun range of 4-stroke engine oils. Engineered with 100% PAO and Ester technology, the lubricant is designed to deliver superior thermal stability and reliable protection across varying engine conditions—from cold starts to high-rev racing demands. The podium finish at Tangkak serves as real-world validation of the product’s capabilities under competitive pressure.

With momentum on their side, the AHM Ipone Racing Team now looks ahead to Round 2, set to take place on 23–24 May 2026 at Sepang International Circuit (North Track). As the championship progresses across seven more rounds, the team remains firmly focused on building consistency and pushing for greater success.

The season has only just begun, but with a podium already secured, the message is clear—the AHM Ipone Racing Team is ready to fight for glory in 2026.
