After the successful launch of the past 2 models, BYD Malaysia is back to add another model to their local lineup. This new model is the BYD SEAL, which marks a new era of superior style, performance, and technology, promising to elevate the electric driving experience to unprecedented heights. The SEAL comes with 2 different variants: the RWD Premium and Performance AWD variants.
At the core of the BYD SEAL lies the new e-platform 3.0, which incorporates CTB (cell-to-body) technology. This technology seamlessly integrates the Blade Battery into the vehicle’s structure, ensuring stability and safety across diverse driving conditions. Paired with the groundbreaking iTAC technology, this sedan maximizes driving dynamics while minimizing skidding. Additionally, the BYD SEAL comes with an 8-in-1 electric powertrain system and a heat pump system that enhances thermal efficiency. 
The new BYD SEAL is designed by BYD’s Global Chief Designer, Wolfgang Egger, who has given the vehicle an aerodynamic, coupe-like design. The vehicle comes with features such as wave waistline waterdrop mirrors, a panoramic glass roof, LED tail lights, and panoramic glass roof that reflect natural elegance. Both models come with 19-inch alloy wheels boasting 235/45 R19 for that added sporty look. The SEAL also gets 400L of boot space in the back, with an additional 50L storage compartment under the hood. 
With a spacious interior and luxurious Thaumas Black accents, the SEAL epitomizes sophistication and comfort. At the center of the dashboard, the SEAL features a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment touchscreen. This system comes with the BYD intelligent cockpit system and voice command functionality, allowing drivers to effortlessly control navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings. For better audio, both variants come with a premium HIFI Dynaudio sound system. 
In terms of safety, the BYD SEAL boasts a five-star safety rating and a suite of passive and active safety features for peace of mind on every journey. To give the SEAL better handling characteristics, BYD engineers have equipped this vehicle with a double wishbone upfront and multi-link in the rear. The SEAL will also come with an ultra-low wind resistance of 0.219Cd, promising a driving range of 650km. For the higher-spec model, it can do the century sprint in 3.8 seconds and has a maximum charging speed of 150 kW.
As for pricing, the RWD Premium is priced at RM179,800, and the Performance AWD variant comes with a price tag of RM199,800. For the first 800 bookings, customers are able to enjoy complimentary wallbox chargers and free Gentari or ChargEV charging credits worth RM800. The SEAL is available in Arctic Blue (exclusive to the Performance variant), Cosmos Black, Atlantis Grey, and Aurora White (available for Premium). In terms of warranty, the SEAL comes with a 6-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, an impressive 8-year or 160,000km battery warranty, and an equally robust 8-year or 150,000km drive unit warranty.
