As the season 6 of Toyota GR Festival in its final race, Toyota Malaysia also allow competitors and fans to have a sneak peak of their next season vehicle for GR Vios Challenge. Based on the latest generation Vios, it will make its debut under the hands of the celebrity racers who are competing in the Promotional Class in 2 18-lap races.
In the 7th season of the Toyota GR Festival, the new Vios will be raced in the Super Sporting, Sporting, and Promotional classes of the GR Vios Challenge. As per before, the new Vios will continue to be powered by the 1.5L engine, but it will get a 5-speed manual transmission. And since the latest Vios comes with a brand new chassis, it will be a more rigid, better handling, and more planted vehicle than before. 
Toyota has made the new Vios available for purchase from UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd, and it will be fully prep for the race with necessary safety equipment and racing trim. These equipment include a 6-point roll cage, racing seat, and a 6 point harness that is FIA approved. Not only safety is being enhanced, the new Vios will also get performance upgrade that include a full racing exhaust, a limited slip differential (LSD), and racing tuned suspension. 
The new Vios race car can be purchase through UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd at an incentivized price. With the introduction of this new Vios race car, it continued to show Toyota’s commitment to make motorsports in Malaysia more affordable and accessible to more teams and drivers. Toyota will continue to ensure that the one-make race series will provide racers equal and fair opportunity to excel based on their individual skills and experience.
