JETOUR has brought its vision of intelligent mobility to the forefront with the opening of the 2026 JETOUR Global Technology Experience Day in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China, bringing together more than 2,000 international guests, media representatives and users to explore the technologies shaping the future of travel.
The event began with the Group’s Global Innovation Conference at its Research and Development (R&D) Centre, where the company presented its latest technological breakthroughs, showcased its expanding vehicle lineup and outlined its ambitions for the next era of intelligent mobility. Beyond the usual automotive presentations, the gathering offered a closer look at how artificial intelligence (AI), connected technologies and electrification could transform not just the way people drive, but also how they travel, explore and interact with their surroundings.
Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., reflected on the company’s more than three decades of innovation while sharing his perspective on the automotive industry’s next chapter. He highlighted how AI is becoming a driving force behind a much broader transformation, extending beyond vehicles to reshape businesses and the wider industrial ecosystem. As intelligent technologies continue to advance, cars are expected to evolve into smarter companions capable of better understanding their users, anticipating their needs and creating new possibilities for mobility.
Gao Xinhua, Chief Technology Officer of the Group, also delivered a keynote address outlining the technological foundations supporting this transition. The company’s guiding philosophy was summed up by Yin, who described Chery’s technology vision as “Creating greater value for human freedom.” To support this ambition, the conference presented an extensive portfolio of innovations, including the Sky Dome supercomputing centre, Star Sea big data platform, vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology and integrated solar, energy storage and charging solutions.
The programme also explored advances in AI foundation models and world models, alongside applications of physical AI in areas such as Robotaxi services and AiMOGA Robotics. Together, these developments form part of a connected technology ecosystem spanning mobility, energy and everyday life, with AI providing the intelligence, data enabling smarter decisions and integrated systems connecting different applications. Attendees could also explore technology exhibitions and hands-on demonstration zones at the R&D Centre, offering a closer look at how these innovations move from development laboratories into practical applications.
While the conference highlighted the Group’s broader technological ambitions, JETOUR focused on how those developments could translate into more capable and enjoyable journeys. Its two product series are designed to address different travel lifestyles, from daily urban commuting to more demanding outdoor adventures. The T Series combines everyday comfort and intelligent features with serious off-road capability. Its lineup incorporates C-DM Super Hybrid technology, designed to improve efficiency and help ease range anxiety on longer journeys.
For drivers venturing beyond paved roads, JETOUR’s XWD fully automatic intelligent four-wheel-drive system offers a further layer of capability. Its “7+X” one-touch intelligent off-road mode is designed to help drivers tackle a variety of challenging conditions, including water crossings, loose gravel and steep inclines. Rather than requiring drivers to navigate complicated settings, the system aims to make different off-road scenarios more manageable, while smart cockpit and intelligent driving technologies enhance comfort and confidence throughout the journey.
The G Series takes a different approach, targeting customers seeking a more premium blend of adventure and refinement. Built on the new-generation GAIA all-terrain intelligent architecture, the series combines a high-efficiency hybrid powertrain with a dedicated off-road chassis. Intelligent interaction features and an upscale cabin are designed to complement its rugged foundations, bringing together off-road capability and luxury-oriented comfort. Together, the two series reflect JETOUR’s ambition to make technology relevant to different types of travellers, whether they are navigating city traffic or heading towards less-travelled destinations.
JETOUR brought its technology showcase into a more relaxed setting that evening, hosting an immersive beach-camping welcome dinner along the Yangtze River. Instead of keeping its vehicles confined to a conventional display area, the company demonstrated how their technology could support an outdoor lifestyle. High-output vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality supplied electricity throughout the camping market, powering activities such as outdoor cooking and entertainment.
The demonstration offered a practical illustration of how a vehicle can serve purposes beyond transportation, effectively becoming a mobile power source for outdoor gatherings and travel experiences. JETOUR executives joined international guests at the event to officially launch the Experience Day’s test-drive programme, setting the stage for the next phase of the showcase.
The 2026 JETOUR Global Technology Experience Day is designed to connect technological innovation with real-world use, moving from conference presentations and hands-on exhibitions to outdoor demonstrations and driving experiences. The next stage takes place on 21 October, when international guests will travel to the rugged mountain terrain of Moganshan to test JETOUR vehicles across a range of road conditions. The programme will give participants an opportunity to experience the vehicles’ hybrid systems, intelligent four-wheel-drive technology and off-road capabilities in environments that demand more than everyday road performance.
Ultimately, JETOUR’s message is that automotive technology should be judged not only by what it can achieve on paper, but also by how effectively it improves the journey itself. By combining AI-driven innovation, electrified powertrains, intelligent off-road systems and lifestyle-focused features, the company is seeking to redefine the relationship between vehicles and travel. For JETOUR, the future of mobility is not simply about getting from one destination to another. It is about making the journey smarter, more comfortable and more adventurous along the way.
