Japanese aftermarket specialist GROW Design has officially expanded into Malaysia, appointing Wing Hin Motorsports Sdn Bhd as its exclusive distributor as the brand looks to bring its motorsport-inspired approach to a wider group of local enthusiasts. The partnership will introduce GROW Design’s portfolio of aerodynamic, tuning and performance products for a selection of popular Japanese models, including the Toyota GR Yaris, GR Corolla, GR86, Subaru BRZ and Toyota Alphard/Vellfire.

The Malaysian debut was marked at Tokyo Auto Salon Malaysia, where GROW Design showcased a comprehensively modified Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition. The event also provided the stage for the global unveiling of the company’s latest tail lamp designed specifically for the fourth-generation Toyota Alphard. Beyond the Malaysian market, Wing Hin Motorsports also revealed its joint venture with GROW Japan, which has resulted in the formation of GROW International. The new entity will serve as the sole global distributor for GROW Design products.

GROW International is preparing to make the brand’s products available through Toyota’s official dealership network in Japan, while discussions are also underway to establish distributor partnerships in other international markets.

GROW Design was founded in 2008 by Japanese racing driver Masahiro Sasaki, with the company initially concentrating on driver development, race car manufacturing and maintenance. Sasaki’s motorsport background includes competition in SUPER GT and Super Taikyu, as well as winning the 2016 86/BRZ Race Series championship. He has also been involved with Toyota Gazoo Racing and Rookie Racing since the latter’s establishment in 2019.

His experience extends beyond racing, with Sasaki contributing to the development of models such as the GR Yaris and GR86, while also working as a development driver for Bridgestone. That motorsport foundation has influenced GROW Design’s approach to aftermarket development. The brand is known for designs that aim to add a more purposeful appearance and improve vehicle dynamics while retaining the character of the original vehicle.

After years of involvement in racing and vehicle development, GROW Design expanded into aerodynamic and tuning products in 2024. Its current portfolio includes aerodynamic body kits, carbon-fibre components, spoilers and rear wings, diffusers, side skirts, overfenders, suspension systems, exhaust systems, as well as performance seats and other interior components.

For the Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ, GROW Design offers a broad selection of upgrades covering aero kits, overfenders, spoilers, diffusers, suspension, exhaust systems and performance seats. The GR Corolla receives a similarly comprehensive treatment, with carbon-fibre aerodynamic components, front and rear diffusers, side skirts, a rear wing, exhaust and suspension upgrades.

For the GR Yaris, the range includes carbon-fibre and aerodynamic parts, overfenders, exhaust systems, intake cooling ducts, performance seats and drivetrain-related upgrades. GROW Design’s portfolio also extends beyond performance-focused models. For the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire, the company offers vehicle-specific aerodynamic fender kits and comfort-oriented suspension systems, while the Toyota Crown Sport receives dedicated comfort suspension springs.

To further support the Malaysian rollout, Wing Hin Motorsports has appointed SC Custom Styling & Autopart Sdn Bhd as an authorised dealer for GROW Design products. The addition of GROW Design further expands Wing Hin Motorsports’ portfolio of specialist automotive brands, which already includes Modellista, TRD, Valenti, GR Parts and HAL Springs.
