Zeekr Malaysia is strengthening its presence in the Klang Valley through a new partnership with Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad (EON), with both companies formalising a Dealership Agreement aimed at expanding the brand’s retail and aftersales network. The partnership brings EON, one of Malaysia’s established multi-brand automotive retailers, into Zeekr Malaysia’s growing network. With experience in automotive retail and the electric vehicle segment, EON is expected to play a key role in making Zeekr’s premium EV range more accessible to customers.
Currently, Zeekr Malaysia’s line-up consists of the Zeekr X, Zeekr 009 and Zeekr 7X, giving customers a choice of premium electric vehicles across different segments. According to Eddy Lu, General Manager of Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia, the partnership is not simply about adding another outlet to the network, but about improving the overall ownership experience.
The collaboration will see EON establish a Zeekr Pop-up Store at AEON Mall Shah Alam, located on the Ground Floor at G45. The approximately 1,340 sq ft outlet is expected to begin operations in October 2026, giving customers in Shah Alam and the surrounding areas a convenient location to discover Zeekr’s electric vehicle range.
Rather than waiting for a permanent facility to be completed, the pop-up store will act as an immediate customer touchpoint where visitors can explore the vehicles, learn more about Zeekr’s technology and speak directly with representatives about the brand’s products and ownership offerings. The temporary outlet will also bridge the gap while the more substantial Zeekr House Glenmarie is being developed.
Planned for completion by the first quarter of 2027, Zeekr House Glenmarie will serve as a dedicated facility combining vehicle sales, deliveries and aftersales services under one roof. This means customers will eventually be able to go from discovering a Zeekr model to purchasing, collecting and maintaining their vehicle within the same facility.
The partnership was preceded by a visit from EON representatives to Zeekr’s facilities in China. The visit gave the company first-hand exposure to Zeekr’s technology, manufacturing operations and approach to electric mobility, helping to strengthen EON’s confidence in the brand before the dealership agreement was formalised.
EON CEO Akkbar Danial said the company looks forward to working closely with Zeekr Malaysia to expand the brand’s reach, while combining Zeekr’s technology and innovation with EON’s focus on customer service and ownership support.
With the Shah Alam pop-up store expected to open in October and Zeekr House Glenmarie scheduled to follow in Q1 2027, the partnership represents another step in Zeekr Malaysia’s efforts to build a more accessible retail and aftersales ecosystem. As Zeekr continues expanding its presence in Malaysia, the addition of EON to its dealer network could also give more customers an opportunity to experience the brand beyond its existing locations, particularly as the Malaysian premium EV market continues to grow.
