DJI has officially introduced the Osmo 360 II in Malaysia, bringing its latest flagship 360-degree camera to creators looking for higher image quality, greater durability and more flexible ways to capture action from every angle. Building on more than 12 years of experience in handheld imaging, DJI has combined technologies developed across its aerial photography, Ronin stabilisation and Osmo Action camera platforms to create its newest panoramic imaging device.
The Osmo 360 II represents the next step in DJI’s 360-degree camera development, following the company’s earlier Osmo 360 and Avata 360 products. At the heart of the new camera is an advanced 1-inch square HDR image sensor, which is claimed to increase sensor utilisation by 25 percent while maintaining the same 360-degree field of view associated with a conventional 1-inch rectangular sensor.
The sensor delivers up to 14.5 stops of dynamic range, giving the camera a wider brightness range for preserving detail in challenging lighting conditions. It is also capable of recording 8K/60fps 360-degree video, with large 2.4μm pixels and DJI’s high-performance imaging chip helping to maintain sharpness during fast-moving action. For low-light shooting, the Osmo 360 II introduces DJI’s AI SuperNight 2.0 noise-reduction technology. The system is designed to produce cleaner and brighter footage at night, extending the camera’s capabilities beyond daytime and well-lit environments.
DJI has designed the Osmo 360 II to cater to a wide variety of outdoor activities. For motorcyclists, the camera can be mounted in different positions to produce unconventional multi-angle footage. Gesture and voice controls also allow recording to be started without taking a hand off the controls. Divers can use the camera underwater to depths of up to 10 metres without additional equipment, while DJI’s Invisible Waterproof Case extends the operating depth to 50 metres.
Winter sports enthusiasts can use the camera in temperatures as low as -20°C. Combined with the 2.5-metre Extended Carbon Fiber Selfie Stick, the Osmo 360 II can produce elevated perspectives, while its Motion Blur function can add a more cinematic appearance to skiing footage. For cyclists and mountain bikers, DJI’s stabilisation technology is designed to smooth out footage over rough terrain. The Sports Dashboard overlay can also add ride data to videos, providing additional context to cycling content.
Vloggers can take advantage of the Invisible Selfie Stick, which effectively removes the stick from the 360-degree footage to create the appearance of a separate camera operator. Dual Recording further allows creators to capture multiple subjects and surrounding scenery simultaneously.
Beyond conventional 360-degree video, the Osmo 360 II introduces several creative shooting modes. Creators can capture 120MP HDR 360-degree photographs, while a 16K 360-degree Timelapse mode can condense long periods of movement into highly detailed footage. For slow-motion content, DJI’s 64x Pano Slow Motion feature uses AI frame interpolation through DJI Studio, producing an effect equivalent to cropped 8K/480fps footage. The camera can also record 8K/120fps Vortex footage for high-definition wraparound slow-motion sequences.
All video formats now support 10-bit colour depth, with more than one billion colours available for smoother gradients and greater flexibility during post-production. DJI’s D-Log M colour profile is also available for creators seeking greater control over colour grading.
The Osmo 360 II is accompanied by an upgraded DJI Mimo app, bringing improved tools for both shooting and editing. One of the key additions is Spotlight Follow, which intelligently keeps a selected subject centred in the frame even as the camera rotates. This reduces the need to manually reframe footage during post-production.
DJI has also introduced NFC connectivity to simplify the connection between the camera and smartphone. A single tap can connect the Osmo 360 II to the DJI Mimo app, transfer footage or take users directly to the editing interface. Professional users can also import 360-degree video files exported from DJI Studio into DaVinci Resolve using DJI’s plugin, providing a more streamlined workflow for advanced editing.
The Osmo 360 II weighs just 183 grams and comes with 105GB of built-in storage, making it particularly suited to creators who want to travel light without immediately relying on external storage. Durability has also been addressed with an all-new replaceable lens design. Both lenses feature an ultra-hard optical film intended to improve resistance to scratches and wear. If a lens is damaged, users can replace it rather than having to replace the entire camera.
Battery life is rated at up to 100 minutes of continuous 8K/30fps recording. Fast charging can bring the battery to 80 percent in approximately 22 minutes, while DJI’s Battery Extension Rod can add up to 180 minutes of additional runtime. Audio is handled through a built-in four-microphone array combined with wind-noise reduction. The camera also supports DJI OsmoAudio Direct Microphone Connection, allowing it to work with compatible DJI wireless microphones including the DJI Mic 3, DJI Mic 2, DJI Mic Mini 2S, DJI Mic Mini 2 and DJI Mic Mini.
The dual-direction quick-release system provides magnetic attachment on both sides of the camera, while a standard 1/4-inch thread allows it to work with DJI Osmo accessories and conventional camera equipment.
The DJI Osmo 360 II will be offered in Malaysia in three configurations, with the exact local availability date to be announced later in September.

As part of the Malaysian launch, DJI is also offering a DJI Care Refresh promotion. Customers who purchase and activate an eligible Osmo 360 II Series product between 2 and 30 September 2026 will receive a complimentary one-year DJI Care Refresh plan. The protection programme covers accidental damage, including incidents such as water damage and collisions, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
The Osmo 360 II will also make its global offline debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin from 4 to 8 September, where visitors can experience DJI’s latest 360-degree imaging technology firsthand.
