Malaysia’s automotive enthusiast scene is set for a major gathering this October as Tokyo Auto Salon Malaysia 2026 arrives at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), Selangor, from 2 to 4 October 2026. Positioned as a Japan-inspired automotive lifestyle experience, the three-day event aims to bring together the culture of customised cars, Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles, motorsports and tuning under one roof. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM throughout all three days.

Described as Japan’s ultimate “Ignition City”, Tokyo Auto Salon Malaysia 2026 is designed to go beyond a conventional automotive exhibition. Visitors can expect a combination of vehicle styling, performance, enthusiast culture and entertainment, creating an experience that celebrates both the cars and the communities surrounding them.

A major focus of the event will be auto styling, highlighting the creativity, craftsmanship and visual identity behind customised vehicles. Alongside this will be a dedicated JDM gathering celebrating Japanese automotive culture and the enthusiast communities that have helped shape the scene in Malaysia.

Motorsports and tuning will also play an important role, with the event bringing together performance-oriented builds, tuners, brands and automotive personalities. Adding a live-action element to the exhibition will be drift demonstrations, giving visitors and automotive content creators an opportunity to experience the excitement of motorsport up close.

The event will also incorporate food and entertainment, reflecting its broader automotive lifestyle positioning. Rather than simply showcasing cars, Tokyo Auto Salon Malaysia 2026 aims to create a destination where automotive passion, creativity and lifestyle come together throughout the day.

The organisers also see the event as a meeting point between Japanese automotive culture and Malaysia’s own enthusiast community. With customisation, tuning and JDM culture continuing to play a significant role in the local car scene, the event is expected to provide a platform for enthusiasts to showcase their builds while connecting with like-minded visitors.

For automotive photographers, videographers, KOLs and content creators, the event is also expected to offer plenty of visual opportunities, from customised vehicles and JDM displays to live drift demonstrations and the wider atmosphere surrounding the gathering.

Tickets for Tokyo Auto Salon Malaysia 2026 are set to start from RM48, with ticket categories including Early Bird, Student, Normal, Family, Early Entry Pass, Collector Fast Lane, 3-Day Access Combo and VIP Experience. Ticket sales are scheduled to begin at the end of August 2026.
