Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Asbenz Stern Sdn. Bhd. have strengthened their footprint in Malaysia’s East Coast with the opening of a new Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in Kuantan, Pahang. Located in the rapidly developing suburb of Indera Mahkota, the new facility represents a significant milestone for both companies and is now the largest Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in the East Coast region.

The new Autohaus has been designed to deliver a more refined and seamless customer experience, aligning with Mercedes-Benz’s latest retail brand concept that focuses on digitalisation, convenience, and personalised service. Spanning 26,565 square feet of showroom and customer-focused space within a total built-up area of 65,340 square feet, the facility integrates sales, aftersales, and lifestyle services under one roof.

According to Martin Schulz, CEO and President of Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia and Head of Region for Mercedes-Benz Cars Southeast Asia, the opening reflects the brand’s continued commitment to enhancing customer experiences while celebrating 140 years of automotive innovation. He noted that the new facility embodies the company’s “Welcome Home” philosophy by creating a modern and future-ready environment tailored to evolving customer expectations.

The showroom is capable of displaying up to six vehicles at a time, offering visitors access to a broader range of Mercedes-Benz models. Customers can also enjoy dedicated lifestyle-oriented spaces such as the Star Lounge and browse the Mercedes-Benz Lifestyle Collection, further enhancing the premium ownership journey.

For Asbenz Stern, the Kuantan Autohaus introduces an important addition to its aftersales capabilities. Managing Director Goh Chuan Kiong highlighted that Kuantan has long been a strategic location for the company, and the investment in a purpose-built facility enables the dealership to provide more efficient and comprehensive services to customers in the region.

A key highlight of the new Autohaus is the integration of body and paint services for the first time within the Asbenz Stern network. The facility is equipped with up to 16 fully equipped work bays capable of handling routine maintenance as well as extensive repair work. All services are performed by Mercedes-Benz-trained and certified technicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and care.

The Autohaus also reflects the growing shift towards electrification in Malaysia’s automotive market. To support owners of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, the facility includes on-site DC fast-charging infrastructure with charging speeds of up to 120 kW. The chargers are capable of serving two vehicles simultaneously, offering greater convenience for customers adopting electrified mobility.

Asbenz Stern has invested a total of RM35 million across its network, with RM23 million allocated specifically for the development of the new Kuantan Autohaus. With facilities now operating in Kedah, Pahang, and Terengganu, the company continues to strengthen its presence while delivering the premium customer experience associated with the Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star.
