JAC Motors has officially introduced the all-new JAC N90 light-duty truck in Malaysia, reinforcing its presence in the growing commercial vehicle market with a model tailored for logistics, transport and industrial operations. Launched during the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026 at the Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC), the new truck was unveiled in the presence of Anthony Loke during his visit to the JAC Auto (Malaysia) showcase.
Positioned as a highly adaptable commercial vehicle, the JAC N90 is developed to support a broad range of industries including urban logistics, construction and long-haul transport. Combining robust engineering with advanced safety and driver-oriented technologies, the truck aims to deliver dependable performance while maintaining low operating costs for fleet owners and businesses.
According to Oscar Yu, General Manager of JAC International, the launch represents another major step forward for the brand’s commercial vehicle ambitions globally. He highlighted that JAC Motors has consistently ranked among China’s leading exporters of premium light-duty trucks and continues to strengthen its expertise through collaborations with major global automotive and technology companies such as Volkswagen, Cummins and Huawei.
Now entering its sixth generation, JAC’s light-duty truck platform has built a strong international reputation, with more than 3.2 million units sold worldwide since its original introduction. The latest N90 model continues that legacy by combining reliability, efficiency and modern technology into a package designed for today’s demanding transport environment.
Built around a 7.5-tonne Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM), the JAC N90 offers multiple wheelbase configurations ranging from 3,365mm to 4,800mm, enabling businesses to customise the truck for various commercial purposes. These include cargo transport bodies, refrigerated units, construction applications and other specialised operational setups.
Powering the N90 is a Cummins B4.5 Euro V diesel engine paired with an Eaton-Fuller ESO-6106A transmission — a combination regarded as one of the most proven powertrain setups in the light-to-medium-duty truck segment. The engine produces 118 kW at 2,300 rpm and delivers 540 Nm of torque between 1,100 and 1,800 rpm, providing strong pulling power and efficient highway cruising performance. JAC states that the drivetrain configuration also contributes to improved fuel economy, with estimated fuel savings of between three and five percent during long-distance operation.
Inside, the N90 introduces a more modern and driver-focused cabin environment. Comfort and convenience features include an air-suspension driver’s seat, adjustable armrest and a 10.4-inch multimedia touchscreen integrated with an LCD instrument cluster, helping improve usability and driver comfort during extended working hours.
Safety also receives significant attention in the new model. The truck is equipped with a suite of active safety technologies such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR), Hill-Start Assist (HAS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), all designed to improve stability and driver confidence across different road and load conditions.
With its combination of performance, practicality and modern technology, the JAC N90 is expected to compete strongly in Malaysia’s light-duty truck market, particularly among businesses seeking efficient and dependable fleet solutions.
The JAC N90 is now available at authorised JAC dealerships nationwide, priced from RM118,000 for the bare chassis variant. Buyers will also receive a six-year or 300,000km warranty package, alongside a complimentary 10,000km free service programme to help reduce ownership and maintenance costs.
Alongside the N90, JAC Auto (Malaysia) also showcased the JAC i40 EV light-duty truck and the JAC T9 EV pickup truck during the expo, reflecting the company’s growing emphasis on electrified commercial mobility solutions for the future.
